Kinda like the story of a guy who tries to hold up a bar.  Unfortunately for him, he happened to pick the 1 bar in the neighborhood where all the cops go after their shift.

Sometimes, Karma really DOES work. :)

They really shouldn't mess with Hartford Police....they're just not into "jokes".  Sad thing is....the items these jerks used, lights/loudspeaker, are easy to get hold of.

Edited to add.....I just went from 'twisted' to 'deviant'.  Ironic it should happen because of a 'humor' post!!!

Oddly enough it happens more than you would think. People honestly think they can pay for thier Speeding Ticket and avoid the Demerits on thier Drivers Liscense. The Idea is the Fake Cop tells them if they pay the $100 or so fine directly to them made out to cash or an account that reads "PD auxillary" Which they have already set up with the Bank under a Fake ID that says that that is ACTUALLY their Name  Then theyt just go about pulling people over in a very short period of time you can make 2 grand.

If you cannot see an officers Badge then Ask to see it BY LAW they have to show it to you and you ALWAYS have the right to fight the ticket and go to court if they ask you for cash say no that you will be fighting it in court with an attorney and wait to be released.

There are Bad Cops out there too so just because they ask for cash does not mean they are not police officers so be smart and do what they say Cop or Not until you are released and then call 911 with all the info you can remember they will tell you if it is a cop or not.

Most People aren't willing to check up on what is happeneing to them. If we watch the people that are watching us we can keep them honest while they are trying to keep us honest.

Call your Local Police Department and ask them about the laws reguarding Motor Vehicle Stops in your Area today and they will tell you what thier S.O.P. (Standard Operating Procedure) is and what to do to protect yourself from inpropper traffic stops.

You can (especially if you are a woman alone at night) proceed to the nearest Shopping Center or Police Station (preferable). A Legitimate Officer will understand your desire to be in a public area for the stop or for going to the police station and there should be no consequences. A Fake Officer will peel off the minute it is evident you are going to the police station. If you are NOT sure where that sytation is you can call 911, tell them you are being stopped by an unmarked car and they will direct you to the nearest police car or him to you.

*grins* Being suspicious of the officer could be an indication you have  "Obsessive Disobedience Disorder"(ODD)

Edit: I do not endorse the above site and merely reference it as satire.
