YourhandMyAss -> I would like to introduce you to our buddy Cthuluh! (10/23/2008 10:47:09 PM)

Since it's almost Halloween, I'd like to introduce you to our buddy Cthuluh! normally he's quite scary and ugly looking, but I like the stuffed toy version. He's quite well behaved too. No soul sucking or nothing like that. If he wants to eat souls he's quite civilized and orders them from human, cruelty free restaraunts. * yes I know, that might take all the fun out of it for some people, but it's our stuffed toy os it's our story lol*
this is what their heads normaly look like. They're creatures crated by HP Love craft and they're bent on world domination so they were banned to sliumber for hundreds of years * I think that's right*

Anyway, he says hi, it's nice to meet you. Happy halloween! and psssssssst do you have any fried soul flavored candy?

* our cthulhu

YourhandMyAss -> RE: I would like to introduce you to our buddy Cthuluh! (10/24/2008 1:04:04 AM)

hehe well, I think they're adorable, except the bust, one, which I got for daddy even though it may creep me out late at night.

GreedyTop -> RE: I would like to introduce you to our buddy Cthuluh! (10/24/2008 1:06:38 AM)

ArmoredOne -> RE: I would like to introduce you to our buddy Cthuluh! (10/24/2008 1:06:45 AM)

hey Hey HEY!!! Yer not supposed to be saying his name outloud unless you are summoning him from his slumber with an appropriate offering of souls... *insert cheeky grin*

I guess politicians are safe, though.  Granted, not sure who bought their souls, but I am pretty sure none of them have one anymore.

GreedyTop -> RE: I would like to introduce you to our buddy Cthuluh! (10/24/2008 1:07:43 AM)

who'd WANT their souls??

ArmoredOne -> RE: I would like to introduce you to our buddy Cthuluh! (10/24/2008 1:10:32 AM)

I little water, food coloring and flour, and you might end up with some spiffy Play-Doh.  Is it flour or cornstarch?  I can't remember suddenly.

LOL

My grandmother got me addicted to cooking,a nd when she passed on back in 2000 (let me clue you, I HATE the holiday season now because of it), I inherited ALL of her cooking books.  I haven't even read through all of them, and that is just the handwritten ones she used when she was cooking up at the university as a lead baker and what not like that.

The book ones are in 5 stacks right now, each about my height, and are awaiting my inspection of their contents.  Everything from hungarian to Dutch pennsylvanian cooking.  Not to mention the recipe boxes, and so on and so forth.  All told, I most likely have a recipe for just about anything I want to cook/make, including whitewash, homemade butter pickles and a 500 dozen peanut butter cookie recipe.  No, that is not a typo either.

Greedy, his homer doll with it's bug eyes sometimes creeps me out. I hope this purchase won't, cause it'd be a shame for daddy to have a gift he can't display in our room hehe.

YourhandMyAss -> RE: I would like to introduce you to our buddy Cthuluh! (10/24/2008 8:57:29 PM)

bear, well I think he's cool, and his plushie forms are cute, And I've kind of developed the taste for hunting down items Daddy likes, and some have grown on me personally.

That's a great idea:) And we can tell it goodnight too lol, like it's merely going to sleep, not that it scares me:))

Some of us ACTUALLY like H.P. Lovecraft.

It seemed to be a sort of monster, or symbol representing a monster, of a form which only a diseased fancy could conceive. If I say that my somewhat extravagant imagination yielded simultaneous pictures of an octopus, a dragon, and a human caricature, I shall not be unfaithful to the spirit of the thing. A pulpy, tentacled head surmounted a grotesque and scaly body with rudimentary wings; but it was the general outline of the whole which made it most shockingly frightful.

--The Call of Cthulhu

For your perusal. . . Who Will Be Eaten First?

Add in a love of sci-fi, playing D&D, and the fact that my license plate holder reads, Miskatonic University  /  Home of the Fighting Cehplapods, is it a wonder that I like Cthulhu?

Really, I think that it is because the human mind cannot gaze upon or be in the presence of Cthulhu, without becoming insane.  This makes it fascinating.

And here I was, thinking that a 500 foot tall illithid was interesting enough in and of itself.  It's like a huge calamari plate with an attitude about his younger brother being an appetizer.

Now now no need to get your knickers in a knot sweetie! H.P. Lovecraft was a gifted writer though I just haven't gotten to reading his works yet. When you wear reading Lovecraft, I was reading the likes of Arthur C. Clarke, Poe, King, Straub, Rice, Heinlein, McCaffery, Mercedes Lackey, Bradshaw, Brooks, Weiss & Hickman, Leon Uris, etc.
