The old War of the Worlds from the 50's scared me when I was a kid.  Especially when the Martian grabbed the girls shoulder.

This movie would not classify as so much scary to me, but it was eerie, and one of my favorites.

The Lady in White.  The song by Bing Crosby is equally eerie since seeing the flick...

Edited to add the damn link for the song! Sheesh!

Borat, when the small ugly dude was naked and they showed the back hair. THAT was scary!

I love horror movies - they make me giggle

But the only movie to ever frighten me - and it still does...is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.  That child catcher still freaks me out.

Hahah! I loved that movie when I was growing up! Every year just before Thanksgiving it came on & I was crushed when it stopped, but you're absolutely right, that "Candyman" was scarrrrrrrrry!!

For me as a kid, there were 2 movies that did it...."Children shouldn't play with dead things" and "The Birds".  As a teenager, it was Cujo. Maybe because I was bitten by a St Bernard as a young child? Damn dog gave me 29 stitches in my face.
