Oh there will be some of the "He lost because he's black" but that will not last long..The attention will quickly shift to McCain..Palin will be forgotten and the world...despite the thoughts of Europe...will keep turning. Butch

It will be the end of his second term, when he gracefully steps down, despite cries for him to continue. Like George Washington did at the end of his second term. Sounds dramatic, yes--but we have a chance to build something better here, and I hope we take it. I certainly will vote for it.

it has been reported that police are gearing up for post election riots, i don't think that they are overly concerned that the McCainiacs are going to storm the streets if McCain loses, nor if Obama loses. And just on the slightly paranoid side, he has a built in excuse (grandmom's health) to be way out of town if things go wrong. Just postulating on the "what if" nature of this question.

It has also been reported that the rapture is coming. It has also been reported several times that the world would end. It has at least been correctly reported that often people can be idiots.

I expect him to win. Check out the odds with bet makers. 81% chance. I guess he is planning to hype PA. We dont have early voting here. If he can pull PA- that could ruin the election. People were hyped in 2004, BUT many simply did not go to the polls. Just think- the goverment has no money. NONE. They "manage" us and our toil. The govt istelf creates nothing of value. Once players get power- then that group, gets laws in to protect their market share. 1.I propose- pare expenses to the bone. And by grocery store people, not lawyers. 2. I propose deleting every single rule, regulation that is obsolete. Again, decided by grocery store people. 3. I propose we de-charter every corportion NOW- we then could grant 3 year charters based on then not harming the public good. They can make money- but not displace costs onto we the actual peons. 4. I would pull the plug on all tv. Let them also prove they offer content with meat in it. they would be alowed to broadcast- up to the point where noise occurs, including commercials and soundbooms, and teasers.

Yep, that's true. and it doesn't always rain or snow as predicted, but i keep an umbrella handy, as well as a snow shovel, and a bag of sand in the back of my car. i have no doubt that one day the world will end. i am not too involved in being concerned for the rapture, as that is likely to be out of my control. i always hoped to be quiet enough or peaceful enough to go unnoticed. i have noticed that there are often people who get caught in a downpour without an umbrella, and am equally inclined to see the folks who end up in a snowbank during a snowstorm. i have to agree with you that people can indeed be idiots.

Well it seems to me that some people think it's a foregone conclusion that Abbadabba will win because they "want" him to. People made a lot of noise about Kerry and Gore too. It's not the noise it's the votes that count. Having just returned from a two week driving trip across the country to Reno, Nev and back I noticed that there were 2 to 1 signs out in favor of McCain. In Missouri it was about 3 to 1 so I don't know why they call that a "battleground state." It may be for Obama. I don't have a dog in this fight, I'm voting for Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party so as far as Obama/McCain go I'm just an observer. From what I'm seeing Obama is going to be beaten handily by McCain. There are even doubts as to whether Massachusetts, arguably the most "liberal" state will go for Obama with all the legions of Hillary voters up there who want to see her run in 2012. As they say, "don't count your chickens..."

I think you'll see some people freak out, not many as long as there is no florida type fiascos, if that happens, well, I think riots are possible. Anyway, I've already decided I'm going to get good and drunk, on election day. Why? two reasons. 1. It will mean the end of Bush.(celebrate). 2. It will mean we will be getting another president that is only slightly different(mourn). So, riots or not, whatever, I won't care much, and all the women will be looking good around midnight.
