If you mean that the Domme writes a bit of the story and the sub writes a bit and then the Domme writes the next bit, and so on, then I disagree. It is usually (I would guess) more physical than that, with the Domme setting tasks to be performed and the sub doing those things and responding. My Mistress and I have a largely online relationship -- she lives in the US and I'm in the UK. We've been together for sixteen months, during which time we've met twice; more recently, we've started to use the phone a bit more, as I now get free off-peak calls to the US. We do *a lot* of typing at each other: we're on IRC together for several hours each day. For us, it works very well. We have a great deal of trust in each other: I know that she cares about my wellbeing and won't start making unreasonable demands; she knows that I'm fully sincere in my submission to her; neither of us is going to suddenly lose interest and disappear. We're very much in love. Yes, I know that sounds crazy. Meeting was a bit weird for the first few hours but quickly became an entirely natural extension of what we were used to online. Even online, we spend a lot of time just chatting about random stuff and that surely helped a lot. Anyway, enough of my life story. Online domination can work very well but make sure that both parties know what they want from the experience and that it's the same thing. The advantage of doing it online is that the initial barrier of meeting somebody and admitting to them that you're kinky is much lower. The disadvantage is that the rest of the communication is rather harder because there's much less obvious feedback and more scope for misunderstanding. This is especially the case if you're looking for a longer-term relationship, rather than just a bit of fun. (And, if the latter, make sure that the other person knows that's all you're looking for.) beeble
