The McCain campaign is!

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/25/palin.tension/index.html#cnnSTCTextThe McCain campaign!

Egads...

"She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone," said this McCain adviser. "She does not have any relationships of trust with any of us, her family or anyone else.
"Also, she is playing for her own future and sees herself as the next leader of the party. Remember: Divas trust only unto themselves, as they see themselves as the beginning and end of all wisdom."

There is something fascinating yet horrifying about seeing  a creature (in this case, the McCain/Palin campaign) eat itself alive.  Perhaps karma is a bitch and all the ugliness is coming back to haunt them?

This is an interesting development.

I think she`s doing this for her political future,tho.

She is the star of the neo-con/Christo-rightists, now.They love her.

She is their future.(thank God[:D])

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wonder how well she`ll do in Alaska when/if she goes back.
There are possible criminal charges pending  and civil suites against her waiting.
And there`s this.
That won`t help much[:D]
She may be setting her sights on 2012, but I suspect it won't be under the Republican banner. They tend not to like those who are too Mavericky, or have already shown contempt for legislative subpoena's or are caught abusing their powers. Few politicians are against ocassionally leaning on someone for a favorable bid or kicking a bid in one direction or another...just don't get caught doing it, at least from what I have seen. Tricky Dicky's biggest werror was leaving evidence that could be found and used against him. I am not so sure they are all that happy about the "appearance" of privilege when one espouses being a Hockey Mom in a $150,000 a month wardrobe with a $45,600 a month ($22,800 per two week period) makeup artist. It is so hard to sell your concern for Joe Sixpack and the Plumber when your parties Second In command to be is hemorraging funds like she wants to save the economy all on her own with her spending.
Hmm maybe she is trying at that...
She's a mavericky maverick of a maverick.  Anyone wanna watch Maverick?
I can tell you lot without fear of contradiction that when an article is written that includes things like "sources said" or "some advisors think" then what you are getting is an opinion of the author of the article masquerading as authoritative.
In other words ....bullshit.
This is actually in reply to seeksfemslave, whos replies I cannot see yet, though he has tried to add content to threads...
Is that a blow job ready blow up doll behind you in your pic?
The whole process and way in which she was chosen as the GOP VP candidate was foolish and rushed and ill-prepared.  What plays well in one state is not necessarily what will play well on a national level.
Somehow the negative view on how Sarah Palin "plays on a national level" does not explain the large and adoring crowds that turn out to see her across the country.  Think about it, Palin energized the McCain campaign, threw the democrat party into a tizzy for a couple of weeks while they marshalled the most negative campaign against any candidate I can remember other than Barry Goldwater, and even that was just a couple of ads.  If it wasn't for the sharp decline in the stock market, the growing fears of recession, and the slowing economy, Barack would still be down in the polls.
Talk about calling his association with Ayers, Wright and Rezko "distractions" and yet having every network go after Palin wardrobe...a $1,000,000,000 Presidential race, and making an issue when the gal shops in real life in discount stores in Alaska. Interesting too, the Palin flap over her wardrobe was pushed and successfully took focus away from thecomments made by Joe Biden about the risks in the first days of an Obama Presidency.
So the bitchy and snooty, self-described feminists in Georgtown, Manhattan and Beverly Hills, broads with half a brain, but full of jealousy, attack Palin,...who cares...what shallow people, what shallow journalism.
With a week to go republicans have a mission to get the message through the liberal filter of the media that Obama's proposals for increasing taxes and "spread the wealth around" are the very last measures that this economy needs, and Barack is not the Messiah on a personal mission of "salvation".  There is still "hope" for America...and a November surprise. It's gonna be an interesting week.
DarkSteven -> RE: Who's callin' Sarah a Diva???!!! (10/27/2008 6:33:52 AM)
The right wing of the GOP has had Bush's ear for eight years.  They do not intend to assimilate gracefully into the party, so they need a standard bearer.
That said, why Palin?  Huckabee is much more viable, and Romney could be a far righter without much nudging.  Plain DOES have a populist appeal, but the only way she can achieve any cred is to blame her on-air stupidity on being victimized by the liberal media.  Divisive politics - she's spoken out against Couric, the media in general, Washington, Obama, and Bush thus far - is her only stock in trade.  God forbid she should ever get a national post.
kittinSol -> RE: Who's callin' Sarah a Diva???!!! (10/27/2008 8:10:00 AM)
The GOP strategists chose her because she's single-minded, brutal and photogenic. They're kicking themselves now, of course.
