Our roof leaked yesterday, and we seem to have an ethereal visitor along with the leak.
At the risk of being one of "those" people, take a look at these images and tell me what you see.

A wet spot on drywall and a person who has a very healthy imagination?

Tilt your head a bit...you're not getting the full effect, obviously.

DON'T PAINT IT ! Get thee to eBay and collect thine fortune. You see we are a bunch of depraved non-believers and heretics, to normal people that is a Marian apparition.

While you're waiting to get your millions for the house, you might want to make a toasted cheese sandwich and see if you can pick up ten or twenty grand pocket change.

Ooooh...eBay!

I would if it weren't for satan himself, (eBay's ceo) John Donohoe...

Probably been leaking for a while, Have fun with the Mold investstion thats probably been growing for the past couple of years. Better phone the Contractors to fix it

sub4hire -> RE: Holy roof leak!!! (10/27/2008 8:36:19 AM)

yeah you probably should suck it up, your hatred for ebay that is...it could be worth a couple of hundred thousand?

xxblushesxx -> RE: Holy roof leak!!! (10/27/2008 9:11:47 AM)

That's what we paid for the house...(and I don't hate eBay...I LURVE eBay...it's that monkey of a ceo I can't stand)

No, this leak began as SOON as we had a new roof put on, so, no worries about mold.

So, uhm...anyone wanna buy a holy bluegrass roof?

Guaranteed to keep you young, beautiful and subby-like...(or bring them to you if that's your thing)

roofs drive me crazy.  mostly cos I cant get up to mine.  it is too high.

they are expensive to replace.  7k min.

an extra 1k if you dispose of the shingles due to EPA regs in PA.

i sorta like the metal roofs.

i had a guy patch mine.  when it rains---  it is...well- one always wonders the condition of a roof. I see the shingle granuals wash into the gutters.

it is astounding how much money one can spend simply by maintaining a house.  I wondered if at my age- 45, if maybe a trailer less the 5 yrs old would be better.  at that point it depreciated- and maybe theres 25 yrs left in it., which would make me 70- who knows.  you should see some of these houses when they get old. it seems the wood is stronger then the nails!

sub4hire -> RE: Holy roof leak!!! (10/27/2008 10:00:58 AM)

Metal roofs can keep you awake when it rains hard.  Metal roofs will also dent in a big hail storm.

Something to be said for some sort of shingle roof.  You can also find a roofer under 7K.
I paid 5K this year to have my house in OK re-roofed.  That was even new plywood down.

No idea around here, after all you'd have to get a roofer to actually show up for the estimate to have
any idea how much a new roof would be.

The quality of service in Ne sucks.  It does not matter what it is.  Whether it be the satellite company, contractor..grocery store or what.

Being from a catholic background, i would say that you have an image of a praying woman wearing a veil - and you had better not publicise it because you will have people praying on the lawn talking about the sun spinning and rosarys turning to silver! [:D]

I wonder if they'll declare Mother Teresa an official saint now?

I just went back and looked at it a second time.....and now I think it looks like one of the Oompa-Loompa's from the original Willy Wonka movie...facing right with his hands in his pockets.....
