BitaTruble -> Ted Stevens found guilty (10/27/2008 1:09:02 PM)

Fox just reported that Senator Ted Stevens (R-AK) was just found guilty on all 7 charges and faces up to 5 years in prison for each count. By law, the GOP cannot remove his name from the ballot and substitute another name so he will still be on the ballot on Nov 4th.

No link yet because it was on the news, but I'm sure a link will be available very shortly.

He can continue to run and if he wins actually serve....I would think they would keep him in the race and if he wins there is a way to appoint another to serve for him.
The chances of winning should be very slim, but it is Alaska and we have seen some different things from there lately!....

I bet the Governor would be the one to name his sucsessor....Who is the Gov. of Alaska?....oh yes...what's her name....

Some of the same people involved in bribing Stevens built Sarah Palin`s house.Possibly for free.

She`s next.

When asked about the verdict and Senator Stevens, Governor Palin did not denounce his actions, nor push for him to resign, but merely said she was sure he would do what was right for Alaska....
