Status: offline 		Quick comment, I was talking with someone a while back,  and the topic of foot fetish came up...  and it seemed to get this response " I thought that was a submissive fetish".  Now I disagree with that response,  I do not think and interest can be defined as a dom,  or sub interest  exclusivley....  I  could be wrong lol,  but  the one I am pointing toward is foot fetish. I'm anxious to see what responses come back.

Wait a minute.....would this make us all equal in the Fetish world? OMG what have I done.

Status: offline 		I have a smoking fetish.  And, while I lean towards the sub side, I could see how a Top could have this same fetish - taking something that is usually not very sexual and having some very strong sexual feelings for it.

Foot fetish - I could see how that's harder to fit into Top/bottom.

While foot worship,  and things of that nature may be seen as a subby thing,  I think it is fine if a top might be into that as well,  I personally,  enjoy giving  foot massages,  toe sucking  could be on my to do list,  lol. I simply find it odd that there can be views out there  that see it as being something that can only be on one side of the line...  not to mention  when I had the conversation,  I was questioned on my true nature,  lol.

To my knowledge, the only thing that defines dominant and submissive personalities is...well... who likes to make decisions and who prefers not to. Stripped of it's romantic finery, there it is. My general rule of thumb is that if what we are talking about does not involve the making of decisions or the subsequent execution of those decisions, then whatever it is, is has nothing to do with dominance and submission. So no, the act of sucking toes doesn't intersect at all with dominance and submission. But deciding that toes will get sucked very definitely does.

IS it still a submissive act if the person I am doing it to is bound and gagged?

if he wants me to do something, and i comply, he's asserted his will over me and is therefore the Dominant, regardless of whatever the heck it is

A submissive act for you or the bound person? I assume you mean for you.

I think submission is mostly in your head, not in the act itself.  If you are being told to perform oral on a bound person, and you do it because you're told, then you are submitting.  If you are performing the act for someone else's pleasure then it is a submissive act.

On the other hand, if you perform an act because it's what you want, then it's a dominant act.  If the sub receives pleasure at your whim, because you desire it or allow it or as some kind of reward, then you are still the dominant.

As a Dom, I take enjoyment in giving my subs some pleasure.  I feel powerful and in control.  If my sub were bound and I gave her several orgasms by pounding her pussy and ass with a vibrator, I wouldn't at all feel submissive.  I would feel strong and potent. She came at my desire, and was helpless!  I can't see how making her cum with oral sex in that situation would be any different.  It's just another form of stimulation.
