Pandora is getting bigger and fluffier.

I happen to know we are the only ones in the world with a Panda Lion.

Here are new pics for all those who helped us name her and welcome her.

Also, she's uhm...kind of strange.

She brings stuffed mice into the hall and caterwauls until we praise her for the mouse. (we didn't know what was wrong when she first started doing this)

And...she...does...bad things to the stuffed animals in the house. (well, good things if you're the stuffed animal.) (not so good if you're the kid who owns it)

Advice?

How adorable!!!!!!  And she's just showing off her skills as a great hunter kitty......consider yourself lucky...toy mice don't have gooey, icky body parts she can bring to you in bed, or drop in your shoe......

The cat my parents had, Annie, had this little green felt mouse that I got for her when she was just a baby......she would pick it up and talk to it, show her anything that was new in the house....we called it Mommy mouse....she had it her entire life, and my mom still has it.  It was wearing thin, the tail, ears, and eyes were long gone, and it was leaking catnip, but Annie knew where she was all the time!

Yes, her favorite mousy is a mess, and we've only had her since July. It's stuffin' is leaking but I can't take it away from her.

We tried to buy, and substitute, the IDENTICAL stuffed green felt mouse for Annie, but she never bought it......finally just gave up......she didn't play with Mommy mouse much, just talked to her.  She was really in a state when my parents had the downstairs part of the house redone......Annie actually attacked one of the contractors.....he almost broke his thumb with his hammer.....she climbed UP the ladder and bit him in the calf right above his work boot!  Poor guy...he never so much as looked at her wrong, but she was the type that instantly made judgements about a person, and there was no changing her mind!  That stunt got her locked upstairs whenever they were there.....

Your kitty is a doll. One of the best stories I've heard about the "praise me for catching a mouse" scenario was my college daughter's cat. She would wait until there was a group of people in the house and come to the top of the stairs with her "mouse". Then the cauterwauling would begin at the top of her lungs.....the daughter quickly realized the mouse was a tampon! The silly cat would attack it, kill it and carry it around in her mouth for hours, sometimes with the tail dangling out of her mouth. It was a "mouse" as far as the cat was concerned and there was nothing to do except hide the tampons!

I laughed till I cried at my daughter's cat tales.

My roommate used to have a dog who ate the crotch out of worn panties.
I could have saved a lot of money had I just quit wearing them back then.

OMG, Sage...that is hysterical!!!

My sister adopted a cat that was born wild at the campsite my parents used.  She was a beautiful, lovable little girl they called Paco.  She hated being indoors, slept with the dogs in the kennel, and even tho she was fed food, she still never gave up her hunting.

We were having a family BBQ for my sis' birthday and their wedding anniversary, and right after everyone sat down with their plates, little Paco decided to join the party...the problem was was that she brought her own meal......a HUGE mole, and joined us women with it...she proceeded to chow down, crunching her way through it.  I thought my brother in law's mom was gonna toss her cookies right there!  The rest of my family are all country folk at heart, so it really didn't bother  us.  And, being the prim and proper lady that she was, Paco sat there with us, washed her little face and hands, and then joined in the conversation.....she was SUCH a talker!  I had to get up and leave cuz I was killing myself trying not to laugh at Chuck's mom.....she would have been SO offended!
