i'm a bit of a film snob, and everyone who knows me well takes it for what it is.
so maybe i piqued the interest of Stephan and charlotte when i said "i HAVE to see this NOW."
but it was probably the trailer and the clips below that speak for themselves, and made them say "we're in!!!"

Let the Right One In (Låt den rätte komma in) "tells the story of an introverted and bullied 12-year-old boy whose wish for a friend is answered when a young girl moves into the apartment next door. However, the girl’s arrival coincides with a series of grisly murders, and their relationship is understandably complicated when the boy learns that his new friend is a vampire."
......so Stephan and charlotte met me over at Laemmles for opening day (and chinese food....YUM), which was last friday if you live in l.a. and new york, possibly this friday if you live elsewhere in the u.s. if you live in the uk or europe...lucky you! you've probably already seen it.
it was the best movie i have seen all year. i'll probably see it again before this week is out. YES, you will have to read subtitles. but if you're on cm you're at least somewhat literate, so don't let the text dissuade you.
sadly they are making this into an american film, via Matt Reeves of Cloverfield. it won't have the charm, they'll set it to rock music and use lame disney kid actors to play the leads and rake in the cash. there will be no magic between the characters; it will suck in general.
