Seriously, puella, as I've been the only person who has made any comment that could remotely be taken as dissent, your assessment has at least helped to provide me a possible explanation as why Obama supporters appear to be drunken and giddy, chortling at anything even vaguely anti-McClain/Palin, and generally behaving as if they're starving for attention and affirmation.

Perhaps the happiness you so obviously resent comes from the fact that these people are finally going to elect a candidate who's on their side, and not on yours - or so you believe anyway. But you can join the club: you don't have to stay left out :-) .

While I'm not convinced on who will win the election (and not sure I care that much, either), I do think that there is a strong possibility that McCain/Palin can pull this one out.

If that happens ... I wonder if you'll be as magnanimous with your laughter when the other side of the political spectrum makes jokes about "the One's" loss?

I suspect that if McCain does win, that "stolen election" will be the refrain and rationale for continued Republican and McCain bashing.

Not that any particular reason is needed, but it will be convenient, even if false.
