I think it was brilliant and the American way. Palin re-negotiated the deal that the oil companies had made with the previous Alaskan politicians, some of who she ran out of office, got the money in the treasury and gave it back to the people on whose land the oil companies drill. That is how government should work.
Contrast that with what would occur in an Obama "redistribution" administration. Barack would impose a windfall profit tax on oil companies, get the money in Washington, D.C., and than decide how that money is to be spent for our good since we don't know what is for our good, I guess. I think I would prefer to get that check from Palin and decide how I would want to spend the money...dont you?
