what kind shotgun?

H.

Which one? LOL  I actually have a couple of shotguns, several rifles, a collection of handguns in various gauges, a crossbow (yes, it has quarrels) a compound bow, a traditional English style Longbow (non-compound, and have arrows for both) a fairly nice (and yes, functional, not wall hanger) sword of forge welded steel, more knives (non-kitchen variety) than you can shake a stick at (several of those are also of forge welded compound steels - what most would call "damascus" but true damascus doesn't exist any longer)...

The shotgun that I typically reach for is an old 12g of my grandfather's that I inherited.  I'd have to go in the other room and get it out of the safe to tell you who the maker is, because I've never actually sat down and looked.  My 9mm is a Browning, the pair of .45s and the .357 are all S&W, there are .22s from several manufacturers, there's a nice lil Walther PPK in the collection, a matched pair of Colts that I'd have to check the caliber on but I think are .44s and there's also a.38 snub from Colt, the rifles are from several manufacturers as well and are various 30-30 and 30-06 for hunting.  If ya hadn't guessed, I'm a lot more up on the handgun collection than the rifles in the collection...

Your post ignores all the points I brought up.  Perhaps if you keep repeating it someone besides you might believe it.

Don't you find it interesting that the same people who are against setting a minimum wage are in favor or not having an upper limit on how much one can earn?
It is OK to pay a person a wage that they can starve to death slowly on but making more money than one could spend if a hundred lifetimes is considered a worthy goal.
Hatred of welfare for the poor is compensated for by love of welfare for the rich.

H.

When did the minimum wage go from an entry level wage, to a "living wage"?

Oh, thats right, liberals believe that the government should take care of us, and make sure we make enough to support a family (2.0 kids dontcha know)  on a minimum, entry level wage. [/sarcasm]

you realize this statement is also true with regards to some Men, right?  [8D]

Sweety, that's even MORE TRUE when it's applied to the male gender! LMAO

hmmmm...owning a gun makes you a patriot....new concept for me....
Have to right that one down...now I am unpatriotic because I choose not to own a gun.....amazing stuff ....now if owned an arsenal I would be a patriot?....if I sold them to street gangs and they were semi automatic assault weapons I might get a medal? almost as flippant as your remark...If you choose to own a weapon ...fine I could care less...but, real patriot....not so sure that is what qualifies you....

Incidentally, Ray Schoenke, President of the American Hunters and Shooters Association, a group that has endorsed Barrack Obama, condemns the NRA's opposition as misleading.

The American Hunters and Shooters Assoc. is a left leaning group, so...surprise, surprise...They endorse Obama

I was hoping you might be the possessor of a fine Beretta or Weatherby stack gun who might invite me to come shoot some clay birds with you.

Whoever the next president is, they're going to be too busy with the economy to deal with the second amendment.  Don't blow this up into more than it needs to be, make your voice heard so they know you like your guns, but don't base your vote on just with everything else that's at stake.

Kirata -> RE: This election and the 2nd Amendment. (10/30/2008 7:45:12 PM)

For convenience in a close quarters home invasion situation with possibly multiple bad guys, you might want to check out the Tromix S-17. It's a modified Saiga. Pricey, but woof!

And the NRA is on the right, and not surprisingly supports the Republican. Point?

oh do not worry, vegas...i voted for freedom & liberty.  yes i did!

maybe you should express this concern to the others on the boards that vote based on Roe vs Wade or he is a black man.[:D]

bestbabync -> RE: This election and the 2nd Amendment. (10/30/2008 7:49:34 PM)

NRA supports the NRA and their right to arm themselves.  the Pubs happen to share their beliefs.

If you choose to discuss as if it were a football game...this  team against that team... then please do not waste any more of your time as I am not interested in that sort of dialog.
When the founders commited treason and started this country they listed the reasons for doing so.  One of which was:
To promote the "GENERAL" welfare not to promote the welfare of the rich.
If you wish to pick a fight between liberals and conservatives there are lots of them on the board.  Go pester them and leave me alone.  I am interested in discussing issues and not in conservative/liberal bashing.

hizgeorgiapeach -> RE: This election and the 2nd Amendment. (10/30/2008 7:51:12 PM)

I don't usually bother with Skeet shooting, Hunter.  If I'm going to be dragging out the rifles or shotguns, it's for Hunting - not for playing.  And when I Hunt, I HUNT - not for sport, but to put meat in the freezer.  I am 100% opposed to Sport hunting - the taking of game specifically and solely for Trophey purposes.   Ya never know, though.  I'll take a look at who the manufactuerers are on the shotguns - you might find yourself with an invite just cause I'm bored.  (I'll even promise Not to pull a Cheney... )

I pull out the various handguns and go to the target range if I want to "play" - but even that sort of target shooting isn't actually "play time" to me.  It's aiming practice.  It's rapid fire practice.  Sometimes, it's "let's work out some frustration by imagining the ex's face on the target" practice.  (Those are the days that tend to spook my friends lol.)

These "leftist" Hunter/Shooter guys seem pretty keen on the 2nd Amendment too.
