You know everhope, I did get an email with my real name on it. But it wasn't the name I use here. I use my first name professionally and my middle name with my family (adoption, change of name, nonsense). Anyway, I got an email from someone I didn't know who used my middle name. *eek! She was a friend of the family and said "remember when you stayed at my house a couple of years ago"... I thought I was gonna DIE! well wishes, Small World After All Sunslut

sunshinemiss, someone from my past found me at B.com. i was so surprised to open an e-mail from a supposed stranger and found it addressed to brenda and even more suprised to find out this girl was now a submissive. in our past, she had always been so dominant..she successfully dommed my ass right where she wanted it.

unless i know the person or they use their first name first, then i'll sign my messages with my first name. otherwise, i don't sign my messages.

I am one of those “manners” fanatics. I use formal letter style in emails and I even used to address my posts formally. Eventually I conformed the forum norm for posts.

It's funny how quickly a serious question becomes hijacked by bewbage. I don't care if they sign their real names or not. I wouldn't on a first email so I don't expect anyone else to do what I'm not prepared to do.

I sure don't...but hey...it is about a 50/50 chance they won't even answer the first email. Why should I give someone that much personal info about myself when they may not even answer?

I always sign my first name to emails, I don't offer my last name, (unless it's business or such of course). I figgure there are thousands of Alexandra's out in the world so it's not like I am giving any special info to people, beyound how I prefer to be addressed. It also saves the trouble of people destroying my user name it shreds, most people don't realize it's latin, I often get called...... uberdomina........ urggggggg it's Umbra (shadow in latin, domina being lady).
