What is it with Dom's and form letters? I know there is a thread somewhere on the boards about it. Don't Doms keep track of who they mail? I got the exact same mail from the same guy twice. He offered to train me but, i declined his offer twice now if he keeps it up i am going to block him.

Did this ever happen to anyone else?

Yeah...I'm the one that started probably one of several threads on the topic. I've gotten form ltrs or what i call admail, many times. Some keep track or don't do it as often. A few don't. It is thoroughly annoying. But there seems to be nothing to do about. Personally, I think cm should adopt a rating system, maybe similar to ebay's. Maybe if ppl know they're going to be rated in some way, and that ppl don't like being admailed, perhaps they'd think twice. Or, they would simply open up another profile...

There are certain people who e-mail me numerous times and can't remember a single time.
Block them if you must...they aren't going to change. They are e-mailing so many people on any given day just hoping for a bite they will never remember you.

Well i was trying to be polite i guess some people just don't get a hint. What do i need to do bash them over the head with a frying pan? (hmmm not a bad idea)

LOL do what I do when I get mail like that...I copy paste it into the return...send it back to them with suggestions on how to improve their pitch.

What is pathetic to you and me isn't necessarily pathetic to them. For every what...maybe 100 they e-mail one bites. Makes it all worth while right?

I'll paraphrase the content of them:

"Dear sub:

I wanna get laid. Write back if you're stupid enough to take me seriously so we can get together and have you drain my pipes.

Sincerely,

SirDomlyDom"

Lazy people send form letters as letters of introduction in my opinion. I've gotten multiple, but identical emails from several different people each wanting to submit, lick the floor, clean toilets with their hair and make a nuisance of themselves in general.

I find it annoying to have the effort I put into my profile not returned in the form of a decent effort to connect. I feel that it indicates that the person was and/or is much too busy to commit any of his time to present himself in the best manner he can. And if he cannot be bothered to do that I don't feel inclined to offer him any of my time.

Perhaps it's an elitist bias of mine that makes the act of spam mailing so distasteful to me. I am quite picky about the type of person I want to be near - not to mention the type of person I'd want to enter into a relationship with.

I have no desire to spend time with a great number of people. I'm picky... quite possibly judgmental. While some might consider all of that a major character flaw I think of it as knowing what I want, knowing who I am.

So perhaps I find the act of spam mailing anything with breasts and "female" marked as gender just a bit ridiculous because I don't want to wrap my mind around the thought of chasing anything with a pulse and the proper sexual organs.

Neither Dom nor sub are spare parts, easily picked up at DomDepot. Perhaps I simply find it rather disgusting that people can't see the every day person behind the screen name.

I completely agree, and get them quite often as well!

To the OP, I feel there is no better way to lose the attention of someone than to send a standard form letter that they send to "everyone." (I've gotten them where they leave the previous recipients name in it too)

I'd respond back...."Dear <insert name here> [Note: You do NOT insert their name...you leave it as is, to respond in kind to THEIR form letter], thank you for your cut and paste, standard form letter. You have shown me that you are truly an original man. I can see where you have to use a form letter, since women must be falling all over you, so you don't have the time to write to directly. Please don't take time away from your busy life to contact me again. I wouldn't want you to waste YOUR time contacting me with yet another form letter, that I will only have to delete again."

I do what it says....put a dollar in an envelope and send it to five more people.
Soon, I will be rich, won't I?

LOL, form letters are for people without imagination, they probably had someone else write it for them.

Peace, Kevin

Whit theese letters as whit all internet spam, it is cheap so that pepole can send out alot, and if only let us say 1 percent answers, they still get plenty of answers to choose from.
