I thought western Pennsylvania was the land of the mullet.

Rednecks and Dykes, they're about the only ones still wearing their hair like that anymore.

Gawd, I hate that jackass.  I keep waiting for him to go after some "real" criminals that are waiting with a 12 gauge for him and his white trash wife and kids.

LOLOL, yeah, me too!
And why doesn't he or they for that matter carry guns?
With that hairdew, a parade of brandnew huge, shiney s.u.v.s, that fat bleached blonde wife with the big mouth, and all that shit tied to his arms (what's THAT all about?) I'm surprised that he "catches" anyone!
Everyone knows he's comming an hour ahead of time!

Personal preference perhaps? Or maybe it is one of those club things like a secret handshake or something. Wear the mullet and the populace will instantly know your sexual orientation...

So has anyone else noticed that the mullet, long thought to be extinct, has actually shifted over to the lesbian community? Particularly the bull dyke variety of lesbian?

My mother has had the mullet, or a close variation of it, since as long as I could remember. And a majority of her various girlfriends have had the mullet, and 90% of the butch lesbians I have encountered have indeed proudly donned the mullet.

What I'm really wondering, is why exactly bull dykes seem to prefer the mullet?

What I am wondering is how the hell you just now noticed this. Where have you been the last decade or more? I even double checked the date this thread was started.

A mullet is an abomination of a hair style on both men and women. I've known far too many that wore it. Both men and women. Only one or two men I can think of now. Even the more manly of lesbians have realized how hideous it is. At least here in my little slice of the american dream...

Sorry I've been too busy to worry about the hairstyles of the straight and gay.

i think it depends on the cut and the person wearing it. I have seen some mullets that make me want to go up to the person and ask if they actually paid to have their hair styled in that manner.

When Hubby and i first started to date he was suprised at the number of complete strangers who would make positive comments on my hairstyle.

LOL....yeah, they're constantly "chasing down" some poor female crackhead and it takes a crew of 12 (all men, women and kids from his family) to locate and corner them.  How lame!  It seems like I remember something about he can't carry firearms because he's a convicted felon.  He did some time in prison for manslaughter or something, I think, so all he can carry is mace.  Probably why they can't carry them in his presence?  Not sure but something like that............luci

I really dont see many mullets in chicago. Most of the butch lesbians I see have that severe Dorothy Hamil style wedge thing going.

I cannot believe how nieve this section can be at times.   Can you all not let everyone be who they are?   I was hoping by the time I reached 50 that we would be able to get along in harmony, but it ain't gonna happen no time soon.

Mind boggling.

I have never understood the attraction of the mullet. Ever.

Actually, I think it started in the late 70's to early 80's when guys were adamant about keeping their hair long in the workplace.  The boss would say "Fine.. just do something with it so it doesn't show here at work.. I could care less what you do afterward".  Thus the "business in front and party in the back" and it was tucked up into a hat during the day.

I wish Billy Ray would have kept his mullet :)

So by discussing a particular fashion trend, we are "not letting everyone be who they are" ?

Explain to me how a topic on a single message board on a single website on the internet is keeping people from being who they are. How are we hindering people in any way? Answer me.
