Status: offline 		Ok, so it's our first day back after a couple of months off for those of you who may remember us. (And it appears that quite a few of you do, which for me, is touching, and no, I'm not being sarcastic. So holly and Potty, keep yer comments to yerself! Unless they're nice that is...) True to form, for me, I'm also in a spot of trouble thanks to my attitude with Lumus and need to do a little assignment before bed. *sigh*

While we were talking it over, Lumus made the comment that there should be some place where those of us (yes, I include myself here) should be able to post our "assignments" when necessary. So I thought I would make a little area starting with my assignment. In addition to Lumus reading it, I know Bear will be looking for it because he was here when Lumus gave the assignment to me.   I wish I had the excuse that I was an imaginary person who didn't exist and that this was make-believe but somehow I think that the Province of Ontario and that little piece of paper called a marriage certificate would argue in Lumus' favour and against me right now....   So here it is:

Prayer to Daddy:

Dear Daddy,

i am thankful and appreciative for You and Your love, for all that You do for me. i love the time and attention You share with me, the laughter and joy, the care and learning. i appreciate when You explain things or are patient with me, even if i don't seem like it. i'm sorry for those times when i don't obey or listen, am pig-headed and stubborn (though i do really try to curb those times!)  and You put up with me and still love me and be patient with me. i love Your sexiness, humour and intelligence and feel like i am the luckiest woman in the world that i am Yours.  Forgive me my errors and mistakes and occasional bratty mouth (ok, maybe not occasional) and know that i am Yours and Yours alone now and for always.

On topic though, Daddy's rule is that punishment follows the "crime."  If an indiscretion was done in private, the punishment/assignment must be as well.  If the indiscretion was public and intentional, well... I should just run for dear life.

Yes, holly... hard as it may be, I'm quite the good girl in public when He's around.  A few months ago, He really pissed me off and we were alone.  I soooo wanted to yell at Him, but I wouldn't give Him the satisfaction of letting me lose it, so I gave Him the death stare.  (One that only a person who has pissed off a redhead ever gets to see.)  I was livid.  He asked me if I was trying to "swallow my pride" before I got back into my car and went home.  I clenched my teeth and glared at Him and said, "No one takes away my pride, my self esteem can get rattled, but never my pride.  You'd do well to remember that."  He looked at me and grinned and asked if I was serious.  The unblinking glare and arms folded across my chest pretty much told Him that I was.  I got into a little squabble later, but He realized that I never get ruffled like that unless I really feel like something crappy has happened, for which, He later apologized.

The landlord decided to do some pest control by spraying the outside of the building with gasoline right by our apartment and lo and behold, the fire department just happened to come by and check smoke detectors that day! The entire building was evacuated for hours and our apartment was bad that we were evacuated for the entire night! The night before our wedding and we weren't even allowed in to the building. We were forced out with the clothes on our backs and nothing else. We got back in at 11 am on Friday morning. Environmental was here, Health Department was here, Fire Department, ambulance, Red Cross, Salvation Army, it was incredible. Hydro was cut to the building so if you tried calling, it never went through because all services were off. Power, phone, water, gas, you name it. In his complete and total lunacy, the owner sprayed the lower half of the south side (our side) of the building with gasoline. Ask Bear - talk about a freak accident that couldn't have been staged. We ended up crashing at the best man's place.

What a weekend.......
