I know part of the rush of playing in public is discovery, but theres always the added risk that the Police will become involved. If it is a scene, I just hope the plod are sympathetic and don't prosecute. Edited to add: I do love the phrase: "misdirected leisure activity". Delphius1

Oh Boy! Next station along the line from me and certainly not a place I would choose for "leisure activities". Guess it goes to show that good old Hampshire people are not as boring as everyone thought.

Which is why they probably won't own up to the act. There are several things the Police could charge them with. The least of which, as you say is wasting Police time by not calling in and ending the search. More seriously they could be done under public order offenses, or indecency.

In the states they would have charged the couple with a sex crime and probably would end up registering as a sex offender. But then again the country is ran by religious nutjobs.

I heard about this on the radio and just knew it would get a mention on CM. One would imagine that the police now have several people confessing to this via anonymous phone calls. Unlikely to include the participants however.

My kind of prank then. unless the typist couldn't be bothered to type the longer option. Hopefully the Police will let them off without any charges. These days even in the UK you can get stuck on the sex offenders register for pretty minor things. Come January, thanks to our extreme porn law, it'll get even worse..
