MzMia -> 24 hours from now---I hope we know.... (11/3/2008 10:27:37 PM)

24 hours from now, I hope we know who our new President will be.
24 hours from now, it will be about 1:30 a.m. EST.

Let's keep our fingers crossed!
If it is not close, hopefully we will know

I agree.  The country can't go through another election with days of not knowing the result.

Ah, MzMia, the polls don't close in Hawaii for another 6 hours after they close in states in the EST zone, LOL.

Can't we wait till later in the day, at least?

*Winks*

Maybe so, BUT if the lead is great enough,
Hawaii won't matter!!!!!!!!
[:D]
Also, Hawaii is a solid blue state "winks"

LOL at 'Hawaii won't matter'.

Now is that nice?  Hawaiians are Americans too, LOL.

Seriously, absentee ballots got really, really popular here in Ohio this election. I guess lots of people didn't want to stand on line a long time if they didn't have to.  I'd be surprised if we can tell for sure what the result is till the electoral college actually votes.

We've waited since 1776. A few more days aren't gonna hurt.

The only president worth voting for was George Washington. I think his farewell speach was one of the greatest speachs ever written.  How many presidents today would turn down a chance to be King. LOL Clinton, Bush?

I just hope that the poll workers have been counting the mail-in and early voting ballots all along.  There are so many this election that the result could hinge on them, and I'd like to know the results before I go to bed.

Thanks Steven, ugh.
I am heading out to vote in a few minutes.
We probably won't "officially" know who the winner is
for at least a week.

Funny, MzMia.  I'd resigned myself to staying up late while the returns came in.  The results were in at 8:30 PM MST.  I got plenty of sleep that night!
