Im psyched to start a blog but I was wondering if anyone knows of a really interesting or cool place to blog as opposed to all the genericish looking ones that come up when I google. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Hi, heather, Are you aware you can blog right here at CollarMe? Your personal profile over on the other side has the ability for you to add journal entries. Not everybody uses the feature - in fact, many "members" of CollarMe don't appear to be able to create profiles longer than two sentences (but that's a whole other issue) - yet the journal entries (a.k.a. blogs) can be quite lengthy and, as far as I am aware, there is no limit on the number of journal entries per profile (but, of course, there must be one!). Journal entries are displayed 5 per page and, as stated, I have yet to discover the limit on the number of pages you are allowed. My own journal here has 60+ blogs in it (i.e., defining a "blog" to be what you write in one sitting such as you do when creating a message board post) but they take up only about 40 journal entries (about 8 pages) because I go back and concatenate older blogs together in a single entry once they are off the main page. OTOH, you cannot include photos or pictures in your blogs here, nor restrict access to your journal. However, if including photos is something that you would want to do only infrequently, then, at a pinch, if you have not used all 15 of your allocated photo slots in your CollarMe profile, and the photo that you want to add conforms to the criteria for photos in personal profiles, you could add the photo there and reference it from your blog. You might have to get a little creative with that process ... e.g., a photo of the cactus plant someone gave you for Christmas might not fly with the mods, while a photo of you holding the prized cactus probably will (as long as there are no other kind of pricks revealed in the photo! ). If you just want to capture your thoughts and opinions on a regular basis and post them online where others that you invite can view them, and the BDSM setting for these blogs is not an issue, then the CollarMe journal will work just fine for you. At the very least, if you have never blogged before, it might be a good place to "cut your teeth" while you check out the other online journal locations that were suggested. LiveJournal appears to be one of the most popular sites and consequently one of the best if the number of potential viewing eyeballs is an important criterion for you. OTOH, if what you seek is just the opposite - i.e., the very thought that millions of readers may be hanging on your every word is too much for you (oh, the pwesha, the pwesha) - then that would be another reason to blog right here at CollarMe where most members suffer from accute ADD! Hope this helped. sissy maid lola
