well, i just realized that the inaugration is on a thursday. duh, i must've been half asleep last night. i'll check with the Playhouse tonight about being there, but it's a work night for local folks and i'm not sure we can get it on a thursday cause one of the folks in charge of it must be there when it's being used. a late night on a work night is iffy.
as to the Crucible, they have an "Eat n Beat" on wednesday (day before inaugration) from 6 pm to 10 pm. it runs $30 a person and includes a great meal. then the dungeon is open for play. that following weekend, however, has shows scheduled, saturday night's being geared towards swingers as opposed to bdsm. you can check out their website at www.the-crucible.com their calendar of events is on the left, about middle of the page.
as to hotels, rockville's not that close to DC, although there is a subway that runs from Rockville to DC. you might also want to look for hotels in silver spring or college park, in Maryland, or Arlington, Alexandria or Tysons Corner, in Virginia. and i'd especially make sure they are close to metro (subway). traffic on that day will SUCK.

Gemmie,President Elect Obama will take the oath on Tuesday Jan 20,unless my calender is screwed up....Mike p.s unless someone can come up with something more central and available I am running into a little bit of a wall...and am inclined to leave it be,at least for now,with the Baltimore airport reservation.
