This isn't exactly a 'Health and Safety' question - although I am sure the mods will move it should they believe it is.
It's not exactly a poll either.(I hope).  Because I am interested in the reasons why people would or would not choose.
Yesterday, I heard that scientists had announced that they have developed a method that they say can predict when a woman will go through her menopause.  I will leave a couple of links for info.

Would you take the test?
Why? or Why not?  Is there any other reason than the pregnancy issue?
Men - would you want your partner to take it?
Why and why not?

I'd take it.  I'm done having babies so it wouldn't be for that reason, but it would help to explain a lot of the symptoms that I'm experiencing.  I'm turning 41 in a few months (fuck) and would love to know how much longer I have to deal with my period and with menopause symptoms.

I wouldn't take it. I assume I will go into peri-menopause in 4 years (age 50) as this is the age my mother was when she went into early menopause.

I do however, see the value in this test as a professional woman with alot of career aspirations who also wants children will be able to determine the time she has before getting pregnant or how long she has before harvesting healthy eggs for later.

I don't know if I'd bother to take it.  I guess it would be nice to know when it's going to happen for me, but I'm done having kids, so it's not a matter of trying to beat the clock.  Almost 44 here.  I'm guessing I'll start seeing some pre-menopausal stuff happening within the next 2 or 3 yrs.

This is my reasoning as well (even though I'm 43 and not 41).

Menopause can be harder on some bodies and it would be helpful for me to be able to schedule things a bit more. From about 1995-2005 I was on a 50 day cycle (beginning about 30 yrs old) but since 05 it has gone to about every 4-5 months.

thiss would be one test i'll gladly take.  next year i turn the big 4-0 and really don't plan on having any more hunny bunnies (though i wouldn't rule out adoption either if my pet is ok with the idea).

I would not take it.

We are still hopeful to have more children. Knowing the deadline could result in a panic situation, which would hinder conception.

Yes, I would love to take this test because my biological Mother had a hysterectomy before perimenopause, hence I have no idea when I am likely to go through it myself.

Oh HELL YEAH I'd take it.  Knowing when I would quit having PMS symptoms, bloating, cramps, backaches from cramps?  Knowing when I could quit spending money on sanitary supplies or having to worry about leaks ruining clothing?

I'm 42 - almost 43 - and have been having early symptoms for a couple of years now, but not with any sort of Consistancy.  I was done being a baby making machine a decade ago after my younger spawn hatched.  I'm definately in for finding out when the machines are gonna quit trying to restart themselves!

It is amusing to hear all of the whining about women being in their 40's. They talk like they are old bag ladies.

After 30 (plus or minus)years of cramps, tampons and counting days, let's see how enthusiastic you would be about your montly occurence!!

(Unless your post was meant to comment on how hot and vibrant the posters are at their current ages, then forget I said anything!)

Edited to add the 2d paragraph.

And so then, Ray - would you want your women to do it?  If yes, why?  If not, why?

Sure, I would take it. I don't have to worry about pregnancy though.

I have watched a couple of women go through menopause and I know its different for everybody.  That just looks like its miserable as all get out.
I just want to be prepared.

no thanks.  for a few reasons.

this slave wouldn't want to take a test to predict when her hair will turn white, either.  for this slave...it would be just as frivolous and a complete waste of medical resources.
Master has expresed no desire for this slave's remaining eggs, so it really doesn't matter when the last ovary finally quits.
last, but not least, the test is based on a model of an "average" woman, and since this slave's reproductive history is nowhere near the "average", she would most likely be an unsuitable candidate for an accurate result.

Hell yeah on that GT. I am turning 40  (ugh ) and never want babies so sure I'll take it. My mom had a hysterectomy at 29 so I have no clue. The sooner I can not have periods, the better.  You wait GT, just because I said that now I'll grow a mustache and my voice will change.
