I for one know I like to view pics on profiles...it's a very good ice breaker to say the least...an it also allows one to get a visiual on the one putting themselves out there... call me old fashioned if you want..but my question is this..do you feel naked look at me pictures are a good thing or are the more subtle clothed pictures what get your attention... are you more likely to read the naked profile first or do you want to see what someones about first... or do you even read a profile? LMAO take a look at the average Domme's mailbox and you'll realize MOST do not read the profile. As far as going off the pictures I have no idea, have never had one on my profile.

I always read profiles but am turned off by those that present naked pics as a first introduction. It would be highly unlikely that that same person would walk naked into a bar and introduce himself to me in that way. To assume that I would want to see his body first and foremost because I am a Domme tells me that he is still living in a fantasy world and not necessarily seeking a relationship that starts with a strong friendship as a foundation. Fury Well, speaking for myself...anytime someone emails me, I look at the profile before answering. Having a picture is nice, but I don't place alot on looks...looks are just the icing that covers the real goodies. As for unclothed pictures....if someone sends me a picture, I would perfer one of him clothed lol. Sending out a naked picture to someone you don't really know...well to me...that is just tacky and a huge turn off. If the pictures are on the profile...well, then I tend to look at clothed ones longer than half dressed ones...

While i enjoy seeing pictures on profiles, i do understand that there are those who just aren't in a position to have them, i.e., high profile job, kids and court battles, etc. i also enjoy a picture of a good "nekkid" person..lol.. but if it's too graphic i keep right on going. i think leaving something to the imagination is a good thing, very arousing in its own way, and perhaps even something to be only shared with that special person. i also think, with the political/social climate of today, it's probably safer not to put anything "too" graphic "out there". We can't know what the future brings, and someday we just might not want the world to see us in all our glory.. regards jimini

Fury I enjoy pictures on the profiles very much... particularly when there are multiple pictures.... as far as the nude pictures... I find the rather annoying to say the least. I tired of here women complain of men and there cock pictures but so often I see the double standard of women and the lovely breast pictures. But oh some of them are clothed so it makes it nicer and cleaner..... frankly if all a person can do is put a chest/butt/groin pic on here... clothed or not... well in my opinion it is rather silly... I prefer an actual picture and not just a piece of a puzzle that frankly doesn't show anything of real signfiicance. I read profile for one reason and one reason only... becuase what they have said on the forums. every forum post that catches my interest or attention (negatively or positively) was lead me to read their profiles. I do on occassions glance thru the profiles... not looking for pictures but looking for well written profiles... I have send an quick email with regards to what I have read or lack of what I have read on occassions. I have often recieved compliments on my written profile and feel compelled to do the same when I see a profile that is well expressed, Men or woman, Dom or sub. All I can say far to few to the time to put any really consideration or efforts into what they put in there profile... and no particular labelled group is neccessarily better than the others.

Read the profiles and a picture of them, in clothes, everyday type of picture is just fine. Once a dialog begins and we seem to be on the same page I would prefer a cam so we can see one another, and that removes a lot of doubt right off with pictures...this is the internet afterall. D

After reading this question, I've decided that instead of saying what I like to see, I'd rather say why I did what I did. [:D] I've got a couple pics on my profile and will be adding a few more either today or tomorrow, all of them are basically head shots and definately clothed. The reason for this is I want people to see me as I am all the time, because if I'm sitting here on my pc chatting or doing boards or whatever, I'm not naked, I'm not in leather, and I'm not giving a blow job (yes I have those pics to [;)] ). I spend 98% of my time dressed for casual every day occurance and if a person meets me... thats how they are going to see me. I can't keep up with pretending to be something that I'm not ... It's just to hard... so what you see there is what you get. Now, I have a question that sort of goes along with this one....... Do people just look at pics and not read the profile at all? I mean to me that sounds kinda silly but I get so many emails asking me to meet if I'm interested etc etc etc... but my profile specifically says... I'm collared.... Was just a thought.. Every guy loves a nudie pic [:D] Hehe..... But if you are seriously looking for a relationship, for me that would be a bit of a putoff. If someone was just looking for a one time play partner, then I guess getting slapped with a nudie as the first impression would be ok. Otherwise, it's kinda tacky. My $.02 --Anopheles

Dear Fury, If I recieved mail from someone with a naked pic attached I wouldn't even to bother to read the message. A good smile, a face showing warmth, would peek my interest. I'm not a prude, mind you, but have been a nurse for 20-plus years and there is nothing one could take a pic of that I haven't already seen. Naked body parts are just that, naked body parts. It's all too clinical for me <grin> On another note, I had my pic attached to my profile. I'm not bad but no great beauty either, had a ski parka on that was zipped up to my neck, and I had to take the pic down after about 2 days. The number of messages was completely unmanageable. I think that may be one of the many reasons people don't have a pic. I now only have a few messages daily, if that. Regards, CT

My preference is those with clothed pics and showing the face. Even though I'm not looking for a Dom right now, I still occasionally peruse the profiles and I read them. There are many excellently written and/or humorous profiles.

I enjoy seeing who Im talking too..Profile pics are always a good thing..Though some people think they are sneaky and want to put pictures that arent even them up..But you can usually tell.When I ask for someone to send a pic if they wish to continue talking, I sometimes feel bad, but hey I like to know who Im talking to..But when they send me nekked pictures..thats a lil frustrating..I want to see your face not your body....

We don't have one on our profile, and don't expect one from those who might approach us. We are looking for any number of things that have nothing to do with a picture, so we would prefer a pleasant email, and then, a response to any questions we may have. We would prefer -not- to have a picture, since we want to get a feel for the person behind the skin first. Raunchy, rude, naked, or pubic/pelvic pictures are typically not well received. If we've had an opportunity to get to know someone, first, though, through their correspondence with us, we are willing to be flexible on this. Lady Zephyr

I always read the profile (if it's turned on) and I enjoy the pics but I prefer a pic of what she would look like if I met her on the street (I especially like the ones with a nice smile). If I want to see her naked it will be after I get to know her and decide if I want to play with her. I also feel that the naked pics should be sent between us privately and not put up here for all to see.[/size=3]

I don't know that I have all that much of a preference one way or the other. I'm a people watcher and I like to peruse profiles and put faces to posts etc. A tasteful nude, or implied nude can be nice, but perhaps not as the only picture. I do like closeups of faces best, I guess. I like artistic photos, something a little out of the mundane.

I love browsing through profiles and find that I usually stop to read only those that have pictures. I prefer clothed shots since I think most people look much better with clothes on. I have been sent unsolicited nudes by some and for the most part they have been pretty boring and tasteless. There have been just a few, however, who have done quite artistic, and tasteful shots...much more appreciated.

I too prefer a decent "normal" photo. A genital shot just means that I don't need to speak to that person.

i prefer a normal clothed picture, it can be a bit sexy, like ligerie or somthing, but totaly naked, that must be done werry well or it is not sexy, it is vulgar.
