My search parameters are set for within 250 miles and I get people on my list in New York, Kentucky, Mississippi and other such places that I know are not within 250 miles of anywhere in Texas?
CM thinks this dom I have been talking to in Houston lives 3 miles from me?
I'm no geography expert, but last I checked NY was not 250 miles from Austin and Houston was not 3 miles from Austin.

As far as I can tell, it's because they entered a zip code that isn't the same as the city they listed. The 250 miles is based on the zip, not the city. Sometimes people move or go to university and forget to change the zip code. Other times, it's a sign that the person is...*gasp*...less than genuine.

I guess it makes little sense to me to lie about your zip code, what a thing to lie about!

Maybe they think it will make them more desirable? Your guess is as good as anyone's.

On the UK page it is common for Canadian members to appear. This can be confusing as there are towns of the same or similar name in both countries.
