Okay, I've heard that there's a BDSM scene in NYC, but being 19, I haven't experienced any of that yet. I may still want to wait a year or two to actually go places in person. Still, I'm excited that I'm going back to the city. How does everyone here like the NYC scene? Is there a scene specifically for femdom?

You've only "heard" there's a scene in NYC? Let me confirm for you, my fellow nubile-one: NYC is home to one of the premier BDSM scenes on Earth, and with even a minimum of social grace and sincerity nobody should have a problem finding a play-partner, mate, girlfriend, Mistress, whatever terminology or dynamic you're looking for. And as for waiting a year or two, well, if you want you can. But there's no reason to not jump in now! At least one club in the city is exclusively dedicated to BDSM and is open to the under 21 crowd. That club is Paddles, an old favorite of mine. A lot of the professional houses have play-parties as well, and there's a lot of industrial/gothic clubs with BDSM flavor. Paddles is probably the best place to start though, make friends and establish connections to get into said parties and clubs [;)] Never too early to get started, me boyo. Go forth, and be freaky!

In 2006, I attended TES Fest and had an excellent time there. TES is a prominent BDSM group in NYC and offers many activity options. The same year, I attended a TNG (a social and support group for BDSMers aged 18-35) event at The Crucible in DC. I remember that many attendees at this event were from the NYC TNG chapter. I was just going to mention TES here is the link www.tes.org. It is the oldest BDSM orginazation in America. I know several people there and all are wonderful. If you are beginning your journey I would recommend taking the novice class. The head of the novice group is my best friends brother and very knowlegable. There are definetly first class ppl there and very friendly.

I like the private parties quite a lot. And also, The Baroness has lovely events. And the suspension party (which I have yet to get to!) is supposed to be amazing. There are also workshops from TES, Lesbian Sex Mafia, D/s Friends... I usually find at least one class a month that interests me. Can't say that I enjoy Paddles, SMACK, BYTE and such. Too many fetishists! If a creepy stranger never asks to rub my feet or shine my latex again, I'll die a happy woman.

I was just going to tell you to check out the parties I mentioned to you earlier today, then I realized they're 21+. :( You're little, right? I'll sneak you in my backpack. ;)

There used to be the Domina Club, specifically for Femdoms and their admirers, but I do think it's been defunct for quite some time.

Hey, great to see you here :) I usually do enjoy all the parties but then I don't come to NYC very often anymore, the pond can be annoying, but then again, if I tell somebody that I don't want him to shine my leather, polish my boots, comb my hair or rub my feet (some of the more harmless requests I have gotten at parties) and they refuse to listen, I can get unpleasant in a very unkinky way.
