Sensualips -> Violet wand burns (12/18/2005 10:10:43 PM)

After some violet wand play I am left with some interesting yet uncomfortable marks. I realize this is similar to sunburn or other mild burns so basic aloe gel or something similar would be the most helpful in soothing the most troublesome spots. Anyone have a "better" cure or suggestion? ( I am such a wimp!)

But yes they can leave burn marks that are a lil like sunburn

In my experience, you've found the best treatment. Some people's skin is very sensitive to the UV or the spark jump. I haven't found any reliable way to predict it.

Thanks you two. Quick reponsed for after midnight on a Sunday. Aloe it is, then. (Because when John Warren talks..I listen.)

I have used it before with no marking or discomfort the next day. But this time that evil little chain got me.

Oh, the chain! Yup, that will do it, the sharp curvature of the beads concentrate the electrical discharge more than the usual glass implements.

Hello There,
I love violet wands, but have not been able to play with one much.
I've used vitamine E tablets on the marks left from the wheel and from dragging a knife on me while I was grounded. I applied it about three hours after play & it helped a lot.
Aloe sounds like a good choice too.
Good luck and have fun,
sub suzanne

Isn't it weird how people react differently? The wheel didn't mark me, nor did the dental pic. But the chain left very distinct red marking that still burn/hurt three days later.

But I do agree with you - they are just cool and fun to watch. I'd love to try the knife thing.

I've never had violet wand burns but for sunburn the best thing for me is Shea butter products, there is a really good body butter containing shea butter from bath and body works called skin repair or something like that- it has saved a vacation on many occassions when the sun got me.
