How do you view the autonomy and independence show by the Master and slave in this scene?

Urghh... where do you get the time to do comparative studies using the dictionary as a guideline.. G*d forbid you get a thesaurus for Christmas..

Softness, will you come and be my slave?

Really, you've described *exactly* what I would want from a slave, knowing what I want and need and providing it without prompting or argument.  Yes, it's good to have a fantasy! [:)]

lol .. you wouldn't want me ... I tried that once, and failed at it.

That's why it's not about power or control.  It's about authority.  90% of Ms relationships look just like vanilla 90% of the time.

Ssssssshhhhh... you're giving out too many secrets.

You've just described a marriage of the 1950s.

Where's the kinky fun in that?

the "kinky fun" as you put it .... isn't usually what keeps the long term relationships going between kinksters .... its all the boring old vanilla stuff inbetween. Just like in a vanilla relationship its not the sex that holds it together, its the everyday stuff.

Jeptha -> RE: Independence and Autonomy (11/11/2008 11:26:46 AM)

Well, I guess they give up some independence, as they have agreed to make their lives interwoven in that way, but they retain their autonomy, as it is their greater will to be in that relationship, as it is.

are you kidding .. its a decent chunk of my idea of heaven!
I like your little story.
Even though this wouldn't be my first lifestyle choice (I opt to live alone, for one thing, and not to get up too early for work if I can help it, for another), it does have some appeal when you lay it out like that.
