It is time to collect some corn stover!

Found ourselves standing in a post-harvested corn field. (Yes, we were were out standing in our field.) One thing led to another, I picked up a corn stalk leftover from the harvesting (the stover), stripped off the remaining leaves and discovered a potential cane. Promptly started gathering a whole bunch and brought them back.

Last night we got a chance to play with them and they do make excellent canes! Light and whippy, with a nice sting. Mistress is saving some for the next play party we go to so she can see how many she can break over my ass. Should be nice and dramatic without actually being lethal.

So, if you know of a corn field near you, time for some free homemade fun!
