at what point after California changes to midnight, is it at LEAST midnight of that same day in all parts of the world?

i guess it's kinda a dumb question, but I've always been curious where the new day starts last... if that makes any sense... and what time it is for me, when that happens.

any help would be much appreciated.

If I am understanding you correctly, no. In some parts of the world it will be a different day.

It is 2 AM in California when the time zone farthest ahead of everybody else hits midnight.(but that would be midnight of the following day)

For instance... an hour ago it was 2 AM in California. An hour ago it was midnight on November 12th in Hawaii, and midnight on November 13th in a place called Kiritimati

Does that answer your question satisfactorily?

Nowhere.

The "new day" starts at the International Date Line--hence its title.
