I've heard some people talk about paddles in NYC, the 18+ femdom club. Has anyone actually been there? How was it?

I guess for a guy on his own it can be a bit grim, finding somebody to talk to etc., though they do have "themed" nights and munches, which might make it a bit easier to meet people.

Paddles is possibly not the greatest BDSM club in the world but it is definitely worth a visit, I used to go there quite often when living in NYC but haven't been there for a good 2 years.

Best idea would be to go with friends or meet somebody there or else there is a chance that you spend your evening alone (same for male subs all over the world I guess)

I'm not sure that its 18+, you should probably check that. Its not a Femdom club -- its just an SM club... they have a website.. I'm sure you can find it

I wouldn't call Paddles a femdom club, more like a BDSM club

Paddles is in no way a femdom club, hell it's usually a sausage fest. It can be fun but one's best bet is to actual go with someone because the number of men out number the women there usually and the women that go are usually with someone and submissive or bottoming.

So the lone sub there usually has a hard time finding a woman, but then again "women aren't as sexual or sadistic as men" so perhaps that's why.

Well,
I happen to love Paddles. I think it is one of the nicer public clubs in the USA. The owner Michael keeps it clean and friendly. I mean there is a soda fountan for pete sake! What is not fabulous about making your slave suck your icecream cone and the delicious sweetness run down their lips!

If you are a single male going to meet some Dommes or make friends I suggest you go on a DSF night ( they have a website I believe) (DomSubFriends) They have various discussions and demos and it is a nice friendly crowd.

The Owner even supplies toys if you can't bring your own and God knows the airlines has made that difficult.

Fem Dom is the name of a group that sometimes meets at Paddles. I believe they have a website as well.

There are also lots of private parties that are held in NYC. However, Paddles I believe is the longest standing public paly space and I say get out there and support it, before it too goes away and then there will be none!
