I was just curious about the process in finding this website. I could have made the poll a lot longer with many different options but these are the 3 most general answers. Feel free to expound upon your vote. For myself, I found the site on my own after attempting to wade through a few other kink-oriented personals with fora(plural of forum, yes?). I've mentioned it to a few people whom I know to be interested in this lifestyle but that's really it.

A friend told me she met her dominant (at that time) about CM, and had to check it out for myself. Although I have yet to meet the dominant or submissive of my dreams, I've made alot of great friends here. Both in real life, and online.

A Dom that didn't work out told me about it. Then he saw my profile (with pictures) and sent me an email wanting to meet! I thought that was hilarious. But I have since thanked him for telling me about the site as it has worked for me.

ReflectiveSoul (a friend in real life) kept bugging (and bugging and bugging!) me to read her posts here on the forums for some time and telling me that I would really like it here. So I started peeping at her posts just as a guest. Then she started bugging me to answer them and pipe in, which meant setting up a profile. I really didn't want to, I wasn't looking for anyone or anything. Finally, I broke down and said ok. Ummmmm, ya, right. Met some great people, my closest friends, probably pissed a person or 2 or 10 off and met Lumus, who's now my Daddy/Husband and I've moved 2300 miles to Ontario, Canada. [:D] Not too shabby for not wanting to originally be here, huh? [sm=biggrin.gif] Rain°

I've been on the 'net since 1996. I've looked at lots of things. Believe I found CM 5-ish years ago but not 100% sure of that. I was in a vanilla marriage but knew that wanting D/s is a part of who I am, so I educated myself. When I got separated, I decided to post a profile on CM. Then was in a relationship(WIth a person I met once years back but re-met on here), in which I gave and the male accepted my deference, thus I essentially didn't get on CM for a number of months as I'd not yet begun reading and participating on the message boards or developing the network of friends that I have been developing of late. :> Davan

I found it on my own. I'd been an IRC chatter for yearsssssss but got very very tired of the drama so I began looking for a different style and stumbled upon CM! Yay! At first I used the chat rooms (until I was banned for being rude, seriously I was lol) then migrated to the delightful forums where I lurked for months before getting the nerve to actually post.

found out on my own.... kinda stumbled upon it during my marriage and decided to stay.. and i love the boards altho i did leave for a while.. i'm back and i'm staying
