I think it's safe to say that most of us here appeciate sound and music.  Also that we could mostly agree that music can set and make the difference in how things around us feel.  That being said, I'm wondering if there are any artists/albums/songs that you find deeply sensual, erotic or whatever.  Songs to scene or have intense sexual encounters to.

Example, for me, Enigma.  Damn near anything they've ever put out.

I'm not sure if this belongs here, or in other random stupidity...  *shrug*  but, it's here now.

In the early '70s, I had a girlfriend that all it took was for her to hear the J Geils Band and she'd get so horny she'd practically attack me! I shudder to think what she'd have done to Peter Wolf!

To me - and this no doubt ages me - the Righteous Brothers singing Unchained Melody is one of the sexiest songs I know.

What I have found during a session, though, is that I tend to tune out any music playing.  I listen for the music of the changes in my Master's breathing and any other sounds he makes.  Our sessions tend to be almost silent as far as speech and I have become very attuned to any noises that he makes.  Just hearing his breath quicken at an unexpected time is my greatest aphrodisiac.

Me too chamber... I noticed the very first time I had sex that I could no longer hear the music.

Really, anything with a heavy bass-beat/undercurent seems erotic; like an enfolding heartbeat.
Someone mentioned NIN; the layers and gait of Reznor's sound is amazing.  Some crunchier metal, some Arabic.

Any Metallica, aside from Load and Reload, will do it for me.  Same with Gravity Kills.  *melts*

The group Rhea's Obsession always puts me in my right space.  The lead singer is powerful and sexy and she sings these chants that bring delicious chills.

It really depends, thought, who I'm with because if they're not feeling the vibe, it's lost.

I love Danse Macabre, it's a great song and well, while being classical is still sexy!

Depends. I love dance music, like the hip-hop singers Salt N Pepa as well as the old Disco music.  It makes me move in sensous ways even when I'm just home alone.

Some songs I love for their lyrics and the quality of the singer's voice.  'Lay, Lady, Lay' by Bob Dylan is an old favorite.

Music can enhance the mood of love-making as well.  Ever see an old movie starring Dudley Moore called '10'?  In it, the male lead sees a woman on the street on her wedding day and falls head over heels in love with her.  He finally gets her into bed and the soundtrack plays some piece by Ravel, a French classical composer.

Hot screaming wild monkey sex seems to call for a different soundtrack.  I'll wait and see what others suggest....wild monkey sex is a bit of a dim memory for me, LOL.

There's no question music can enhance my mood; I think it does everyone's.  That's why I find the phenomena of blaring music from the car next to me in traffic so freaking rude.  But then, young people have always been noisy.  We certainly were, LOL.

Peace out.

Nice topic.  While still a newbie and exploring with different style of dominance, this was brought up alot.  Many times I was to choose the music, but I always deferred it to the dominant. Sir and I dont use music.  I dont know why, we just dont.I know I don't need it.  Something to ask him about. But music is something that I find is necessary for my well being.  All types, depending where I am at the moment.Relaxation music can help over come insomnia;when I am feeling rather angry I will play PaPa Roach;and so it goes with the feelings I need to work out.

gabrielleslave, i totally get the incubus thing.

Never really listened to music during a scene. I remember master mentioning 30 seconds to mars version of kanye west's stronger being something good to make love to..but we still have yet to try that!

Native American drumming music, Enigma, Unchained Melody by Righteous Brothers is very good, Celtic music are some that are good for sessions.

I listen ,while I am writing music, to Janis Ian, Celine Dion, Ceclia, Joni Mitchell, Simon and Garfunkle, and Joe Cocker to name just a few.

That is quite before my time, but I vaguely remember Centerfold and that must have been in the very early 80's, given the fact that I was dying to be a teenager then, seemed to be the height of sophistication, so judging from that, early 70's seem to be the wrong decade?
