I'm proud of it but can't show it to the person it'd mean the most to yet so thought I'd post up pictures to brag. It's pretty flimsy and I plan on making another one made out of thicker material.

That looks really nice! Is it leather? It doesn't look quite like leather but its often hard to tell with photos.

Looks good to me; soft and secure.  You might add one of those small padlocks shaped like a heart.  They use a handcuff key so you don't need to fumble with several keys.

It is leather. Very soft and suede like, but not sure if it'd classify as suede. I've been practicing with other bits of scrap I've got laying around before I go and buy some good thick leather to make another one and matching cuffs.

Very nice. It looks soft and quite comfortable. You may think its flimsy but I find that sometimes the harder/less broken-in feel can be iritating on the skin. Thanks for sharing.

Now you have me thinking, I have some lovely butter-soft deerskin......hmmmmmm.

I'm jealous! A friend of mine was just telling me about some deer hide blankets he was having made and I kept thinking how awesome deer skin feels on something sensitive and warm... If you do it, you must take pictures!

She'll be over the moon that you took so much time and effort to make the collar specially for her. It's lovely.

the things we make ourselves are sentimental things and mean more than the toys we spend hundreds of dollars on.half of my toy bag is homemade....cherish the ones you make..

Nice work SomethingCatchy and I have to agree with SadysticJester and have said this before when I posted a photo of the 1st collar we ever made from a broken belt and a hasp bought at Ace. It was well over 30 years ago and she still wears it now and then.

my Master, SadysticJester, is absolutely correct. i especially cherish the first set of floggers He made for Uus. He was going to take them apart at one time and construct just one. i almost broke down in tears. But any toy that He has made have a special place in my heart and always will.
