footfetish42 -> new subbie (11/13/2008 1:52:16 PM)

How do i get someone to give me a first chance when i know i am a sub and want to serve but know one is willing to take a chance.....how do i make my self more of a better deal than all the fakes and wannabe's

LadyConstanze -> RE: new subbie (11/13/2008 2:00:14 PM)

I don't have a magic wand that can make it happen for you, but as an idea here, you might fill your profile out a bit more, you might write a few things about yourself (not a book but some basic info) because your profile gives very little information about you.

In general, look for a life-style scene near you, attend munches, TES meetings, meet people, you got to go out and try because they won't come knocking on your door.

StrictnSaucy -> RE: new subbie (11/13/2008 2:02:10 PM)

1.Put information in your profile
2.Join a local group and frequent your local munch
3.Have patience and dont expect miracles
4.Dont pester
Thats my top tips and good luck in your search.

Get a name that doesn't identify you as a fetish looking for someone to indulge you for free.
Stop referring to yourself as a "subbie" (puke).  Most femdoms want a man first, submission comes later.

Bugger.  I wonder how many people hate the name they took when they joined?  Mine's becoming annoying to me now.  I don't suppose you can change it without having to go through all the joining up palaver again, though.

I was wondering the same

Ms. Aakasha speaks truth. Isolating a fetish in your screenname can make you 'invisible' to those who may have no interest in that particular kink.

Your name isn't that bad.  A lot of femdoms don't care about names, period.  I just personally get annoyed when a name IS a fetish, or asks for a fetish, or some fetish-request with numbers on it because someone else already took the fetish-request name.

Yep, that is the advice I gave to "ISuckDeadPeople687" just last week!

Gosh..I am feeling rascally today!  After you all get over the collective EEWWWWWW , you can thank me properly with a barrage of fruit!   [;)]

What's wrong with your name, Lady C - apart from showing that you can't spell properly, obviously?

Kind of you to say so, A.  However, I seem to be the only person on CM who failed to connect the word  "peon" with "pee on".  Until Lady Kermit (I think her name was) pointed it out to me, I hadn't thought of it at all.

I feel like changing it to something that will make people instantly feel warmth and affection towards me.  To something like "KillStarlett", for instance.

Or perhaps... "FootinMouth63" ?

The Lady bit seems a bit like an overkill, now don't be nasty just because not everything is English ;) (HA, if you'd be Welsh, Irish, Scottish or Cornish, those would be fighting words and I would possibly worry about ewe)

What???  Are you hinting that I said something undiplomatic, Otters?

MsStarlett -> RE: new subbie (11/13/2008 3:42:54 PM)

Thanks a heap, Peon.  See if I let you put your head under my Queening Throne even if you DO cough up that plane ticket.

Actually, my normal net name sounds like a Urinary Tract Infection.  I  knew better than to use it here.  The first few versions of "Scarlett" that I tried were already taken and I refuse to have a number tacked on the end.  A lot of people end up with misspelled versions of what they wanted because the correct spelling was already taken, but I didn't want to do that either.  So, Starlett it was.  That was actually taken after the name of my NeoPet, LittleStarlett, if anyone ever knew about that game.

OttersSwim -> RE: new subbie (11/13/2008 3:45:23 PM)

Certainly no more undiplomatic than "ISuckDeadPeople687".

Perhaps we should exit this topic before they come after us with torches and pitchforks!  [;)]

PeonForHer -> RE: new subbie (11/13/2008 3:45:29 PM)

"Lady" is fine - here, it's so popular amongst dommes it's almost equivalent to "Mistress".  And I'm a quarter Welsh, so feel free to beat up that bit of me if you like.

PeonForHer -> RE: new subbie (11/13/2008 3:57:31 PM)

I fear the damage is done, Otters.  You know, I was actually quite a polite and diplomatic person until I met you.

Reminds me:

You know David and Victoria Beckham - England footballer and ex Spice Girl respectively?  They actually had a family crest made for themselves that was mostly made up of the letters VD.  No jest.

It's said that in the free world, anyone can get to the top of society.  When you look at the Beckhams, you realise just how true that is.
