Think back...............way back...

Think back to a point when you wanted to be 'something' or be 'another'...by imitating some adult:

You perhaps stood at a blackboard teaching bears, you may have played army with some toy soldiers or  you had barbie dolls or maybe you had kitchens or forts or radios. Did you want to be a movie star, or an astronaut? Did you want to be like your father? your mother? your uncle?

Who and what did you want to be and did you come close to that goal or just the opposite?

Did the things so precious to you in your attempt imitate and grow up define you? ...or did they live their life and like a candle ...eventually blow out?  Did the those very things if you look back on fail and you find you fail similarly as an adult?

example: 32 yrs ago, between wanting to be the next Monkees groopy and the next wife of a Beatle...one summer my friend and I were visiting an distant relative who had junk cars wayyyy out in his field. It is within these rustbuckets we decided to sit and pretend to play the radio, smoke cigarettes, bounce about and steer recklessly.  We lightly joked about the people we imitate and thought nothing of it and left unscathed.  Any other activity that we did (hide n seek, teacher, baby/house-sitter etc) we did so responsibly. Yet, later on, we both (and a few others who we now noticed were not accurate in the other areas) mysteriously became aware we are very bad at the very thing we didn't take seriously.

I am a bad driver.  I have never had much interest in driving, took it seriously nor have I ever wanted to get a lisc. I had one out of necessity,  never renewed it (thank God).

Do you think back to something that happened and wonder hmmm did that define me or did I define that moment?  Dare or Destiny?

Does this revelation remind you or make you question when and if you are Dominant or submissive in nature?
