smile My first husband never understood why I called him "Dearest, Darling, Light of my Life." Then he finally saw "The Shining".... and caught the fact that the 'father' called his wife that right before chopping her with an ax. He never considered it a 'term of endearment' after that. Which was good, because every time I used it, I wanted to chop his head off.
