Yeah the option to select "human" would be sweet. I long for the day :) In fact, it would be awesome if that was the ONLY choice. We're all human, after all, all descended from the same ancestors. We're all distant cousins (or closer). quote:
ORIGINAL: DesFIP Obviously the term was used when the site began as a US based site, without realizing that there would be people from other nations here. Why don't you report the glitch and suggest they update ethnic background selections? I've never quite figured this site out. This software seems like a dinosaur to me, being a member of several forums that are 5 or more years ahead of this in terms of software. If you can let me know how to report a glitch, I'll give it a shot. Sounds like some people in this thread like it the way it is, though. Just strikes me as weird that if you're a black person living in the US, you choose "USA" as your country and "African American" as your ethnicity, even if you're 0% American and may not consider yourself African either. Maybe there should just be a bunch of colours to select from, and you pick the one closest to your skin tone. Or it asks you if your hair is frizzy, curly, wavy, in ringlets, or straight. And so on. Kidding, that would be ridiculous. :p
