Thanks, GT. I've always been interested in labor & delivery, but I'm still considering whether the increased liability is worth it. The homebirth of my last baby under the excellent care of a Certified Nurse Midwife made a huge impression on me, so joining her ranks is a possible option at some point in the future.  I very much enjoyed my clinical rotation in the OR and PACU, but they usually want nurses with ICU or ER experience. In the meantime, I'll probably start out on a Med-Surg or Oncology unit.
