How can people understand what is going on in a chat room? I just don't get it there is so mush being said by people to other people over other people. I just fell like a leaf caught up in a tornado. Going all over the place but it only being in circles. I don't see how you can communicate with someone on there without getting interrupter side tracked or overlooked. Maybe it is just me not being familiar with chat or a produce of how I was raised. I try to read what is being written. When I am ready to reply that comment is off screen and seems to be off of the table as far as a discussion.

A sure sign that you are "getting old." :)

You read fast, you skip the junk and skim.

Some people never learn to enjoy chat because of it.

Chat can be difficult. I frequent some other boards where we sometimes chat in a group, 5 to 9 people. And while this is going on, others are opening private chat windows to talk. It can be confusing, you've gotta be able to muti-task, and skim.

I multitask but I also don't frequent chat rooms. I'd suggest finding someone to talk with whom you are enjoying and take it private.

CM has user-created room listed below the Lobby; click on one and when You scroll back up, You should be in it. "D/s Safehaven" and some of the others are always good and only have 6 to 15 people in them; that's much more manageable than the 60 or so in TheLobby.

Also, use "dogpile.com" and enyer "DSM Chat" as the search term, and you'll find lots of other sites to chat on.

Actually, the more time you spend in a chat room, the more accustomed to the zipping rolling text you'll become...

Just takes time, patience, and fast typing.. :)
