My zip code (and I have double checked it in my account) is in a Maryland suburb of DC. Yet when I do a search for someone within 25 miles of me, it has once person come up who is in New York state. New York is hundreds of miles from here, and I know there are lot of people within 25 miles of me in DC and Baltimore. What is going on? Can someone please tell me if there is some non-intuitive way to do a search or if I clocked on a wrong box or something? Also, why is there nowhere on the Help FAQ page, or even a topic here in the forums, where people can get help from CollarMe admins? Thanks.

well, if someone moved, they may have changed their city without bothering to change their zip code. Just put in the extra 5 minutes and scroll by them.

What is going on?

Most likely a scammer who is not from New York, and doesn't have access to a zip code directory.

I'm going to go with CAna's response to be true more often than not.

The next question is have you been going to any of the local munches/events? God knows, there's plenty to do in your area...

Somebody put in the wrong zip code. A lot of us do, if we live in small towns and worry about being identified, we'll use a zip code from a big city.

I do this, I'm not here to meet anyone so why should I bother telling anyone where I am?
