I have a steel boned corset which is full length. It was Masters choice and he loves to use it on me. It is always laced very very tight as the idea is to restrict my breathing and make movement difficult. Add skyscraper heels to the mix and I waddle round the living room like a penguin on acid.

Oh and I have 38FF boobs so I look like I have a couple of footballs exploding out of the top. Of course with the boobs and the inability to bend in the corset he could put me in huge boots and I would never know as seeing my feet is pretty much impossible.

I have to say the restriction from the corset is a real turn on for both of us. Knowing I am struggling to breath in it is a huge turn on for him.

I thought it would happen to me too but it actually works really well all the time, better than a ham fisted other half trying to lace me in and doing it all wrong.

They feel and look wonderful. Plus the look in my Master's eyes and on His face when i am wearing one is more than worth any discomfort i may feel. They simply look elegant also.

I have both corsets and bodices.  Cloth is more breathable but leather is definately more supportive.
I prefer these types of breast support to regular bras.  Plus you have better back support and remember to sit up straight.  One caveat, I am unable to drive in a tightly laced corset.  They are just too uncomfortable for long periods of sitting behind the wheel.  There is the added benefit of distracting other drivers and having truck drivers honk their horns at you, if you like a bit of highway exhibitionism.    [sm=hewah.gif]

While I like the way they look on others, I personally find them way to restrictive.

I loves me my corsets! I am fortunate to have a Master who is an EXPERT in lacing. We were shopping once and found an interesting one at Fredrick's of Hollywood. Master ended up showing the saleswoman the correct way to lace it! (He bought it for me, too, btw [:D])
 
There is a pic of my satin one in my profile. I'm actually wearing a black bra under it because we were at a vanilla club (Master was playing) and I needed to make sure the nips were covered! (the problem with having a breast-lift is that they put the nipples too high. Looks great naked, but hell in bras and low cut tops)
 
I love the tight, bondage feel of being all restricted in a corset. And accentuating all those curves makes one feel sooooooo sexy!

The new dress I got in May has a corset bodice and I actually CAN drive in it!   If car seats were pitched differently--say, like delivery truck seats--I think that I could drive in a corset, but they do restrict movement a LOT and I choose safety first behind the wheel.

I'm a bondage lover, so for me it's all about the constriction. The feeling of being hugged tightly all day long is just... *yum*
If I had a female body I would definitely tightlace, but no such luck, so I just have to enjoy it when I can.

I have a latex corset that I adore(altho the boning is useless),  and was longing to try,  so  when my pet and I went to BlackRose  one of his classes was in corsets and lacing. it reallllllllly helped and he just loved practising. Hubby isnt to bad either, but Im a complete twit when it comes to manipulating something behind my back.[&:]

I have one and I certaintly don't think it's comfortable, but then again I am like you and I hate tight clothing, and I hate being squeezed or constricted, so I've never worn corsets before. I wore mine for the very first time yesterday for serveral hours, and by the end of 3 hours I wanted OUT. it was gouging me in the part of the armpit that creases, and it was hurting one of my lower ribs. I don't even think I look that great in it, I think I look dorky in it.

The big sigh of relief heard at the end of the day at Renaissance faires is known as the "out of bodice experience".
 
I have to mention my favorite leather bodice makers.  They make a wide selection of items; dresses, coats, pants, gloves, greaves, archery equipment, etc in leather and do custom orders.

I had a dress fitted using a reconstructed medieval/early Renaissance method which manages to give excellent bust support with complete mobility, better than a bra. The difference between being able to work in stays/corseting and not being able to is partly a function of the cut of the corset and partly whether or not it is properly fitted to you personally.

But I'd wear my gamurra full time if I could.
