Do you mean fiction or non-fiction?

If you want fiction, all of mine is female dominant and male submissive or female submissive (mostly male submissive).

I've been told its very good without being stereotypical.

*grin*

I'd be happy for all suggestions.. I'd like to get more educated in all kinds of femdom.

Another wonderful book is The Sensual Art of Female Dominance.

This book was among my favorites.
I also liked "The Mistress Manual: The Good Girl's Guide to Female Dominance". There are others I've read, but can't remember title.
I would go to amazon, and search female domination.
Good luck, M

the issue here, as i see it...this lifestyle is not in books...99% of it is inside YOU..........

do your own thing and to hell with what some schmuck wrote.

as if it matters,,,,,,,,books are just someone else's opinion and who cares what THEY think? all that matterrs is what YOU think.
someone has more time on their hands than you do, and feel they have to be validated......and wanna feel like some big shot...so they write a book........BIG DEAL!!!!!!!!
as if you are impressed???????

be your own author and do your own thing.

"I" have YET to find MY life in-a-book!

My first advice is to really decide if you are interested in fiction or non-fiction or both.

Honestly they are very different types of writing and how you judge them should be very different in my not particularly humble opinion.

If you want fiction, you can find some of mine under my surname of Eckhart on places like Amazon.com -- you know my first name, its part of my ID here on this board all ready.

Second, if you are interested in BDSM with femdom as your more specific focus I wouldn't limit myself to only books on female dominants or male submissives. Those books aren't numerous and again in my not terribly humble opinion, the marjority don't offer much more than what you can get from any well written and research scene book; a fair number of them are very stereotypical frankly.

If you want some more specific suggestions you'll need to be more specific about what you are looking for then I'm sure many people can give their opinions on books.

The OP specifically asked for literature.

While life is not to be found in a book, the foibles and pitfalls of many that have gone before often are. To berate their wisdom and experience because it is in written form is foolish. One can't possibly learn all there is to know on one's own or by trial and error. The trick is to find a book that has worthwhile suggestions that one can incorporate into their own life.

BlkTallFulfilling, as always, has made some great suggestions. I would leave a few of Mine here along with them, however, I have replied to similar threads before.

Read! Learn! Grow!

I would agree that there hasn't been MUCH, historically, relatively to other subjects...but it does exist, and some of it is worth reading. My Amazon wish list is testament to that...
"Literature" could mean fiction or non-fiction.. and I think that fantastic, imaginative narratives are as or more useful as/than formal/informational "guide" books.

Although these don't all focus on female domination....my favorite bdsm-related fiction: "Fetish," a short story anthology edited by John Yao
Justine, Marqui de Sade
anything Henry Miller or Anais Nin
Venus in Furs by Leopold Von Sacher-Masoch
and the Confessions of Wanda Von Sacher-Masoch

Regarding books,it's rather slim pickings I'm afraid as most publishing caters for the female submission market.I was told by one publisher of erotic literature that he could sell 7-8 times the number of femsub novels to femdom. Is this a larger number of literate female submissives reading them perhaps?
Still they do exist here and there but book publishing is finding it harder every day to cover its own printing costs given the competition from the web.
You could start off at the Alice Kerr-Sutherland society site-
www.aks-books.co.uk/books.htm
where you'll see a host of printed books, many with my own art on the cover
or try Stiletto Books
www.stilettobooks.com (Heel!)
for a more mystical magical take on the female domination scenario.
By far most literature is now found on the web, most notably our own Akasha leading the field
with a host of others all exploring their own particular angle.

muhammed went to the wall, and came away enlightened.....
all of life's answers about oneself, are, inside us all. we have but to seek, for us to find.
"I" know ALL i NEED to know, about what "I" want in this life, when i look in the mirror when i am shaving...
it is sad that so few of us have yet learned this.
i stand by my previous post...
those so called lifestyle books,..in my feeling,..are a bunch of crock.

i AM entitled...and if someone else feels they have-to let some other fool run their life for them..mores' the pity....

take care

Reading for ideas, suggestions, or learning a new technique that was not previously known or thought of is hardly letting 'some other fool run their life for them', whether the topic be BDSM or anything else.

Tell you what, veronicaofML, You read your 'crock', and in reading your posts, I'll read Mine.

I'm pulling this from a prior post I did, as well as some research I did for our local BDSM all female reading group. (I'm lazy and don't want to retype) .

Reading material could include:

Screw the Roses, Send me the Thorns - A great book, but written from a Dom, female sub point of view. It is probably the best overall book, and one that should be in your library. It is also a bit overwhelming for someone new to the lifestyle.

The New Topping Book- This has been my favorite of all the books so far. I found it to be accessible and easy to read. This book is more of a S/m book, but a lot of the concepts are the same. I highly recommend it.

The Sexually Dominant Woman: A Workbook for Nervous Beginners - This book is good for a beginner. It isn't overwhelming. It talks some about the mental state of a new Dominant. It is worth picking up and having a look.

The Art of Sensual Female Dominance: A Guide for Women - This one is also a good candidate for a beginner. I'd order both into Barnes and Noble or whatever local store of yours does special ordering and glance through both. Pick up the one that catches your attention better. They both contain about the same information.

The Family Jewels: A Guide to Male Genital Play and Torment - This is a good introduction to the male genital anatomy. Sooner or later, all Domme seem to use some sort of penile interaction. It is a wonderful source of control. Learn how to do it safely.

Miss Abernathy's Concise Slave Training Manual - This is the one I'm in the middle of reading now. It is also basic material, but covers some stuff not done in the other books. The style is easy to follow. It isn't overly wordy, so it isn't an intimidating book. It is a good overview book, touching lightly on many subjects and is one you can actually imagine yourself reading cover to cover. I'd say it plus either "Sexually Dominant Woman" or "Art of Sensual Female Dominance" will get you on your way.

Female Dominance: Rituals and Practices - I've not read this one. It's a pretty new book and still in hardcover. I'm waiting for it to come in paper before I purchase it.

My personal BDSM bookshelf includes:
Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns, The Loving Dominant, The New Topping Book, The Sexually Dominant Woman: A Workbook for Nervous Beginners, The Art of Sensual Female Dominance, The Mistress Manual: The Good Girl's Guide to Female Dominance, The Family Jewels: A Guide to Male Genital Play and Torment, S&M: Studies in Dominance and Submission, Miss Abernathy's Concise Slave Training Manual, Training With Miss Abernathy, SM 101: A Realistic Introduction, The Manipulated Mind: Brainwashing, Conditioning and Indoctrination, Knots & Splices, Introducing Neuro-Linguistic Programming: Psychological Skills for Understanding and Influencing People and Words That Change Minds: Mastering the Language of Influence, Masochism: A Jungian View and Dominant Women Submissive Men: An Exploration in Erotic Dominance and Submission.

The books on my "to get" list:
Female Dominance (Sutton), Dominance, self-esteem, self-actualization: germinal papers of A. H. Maslow (The A. H. Maslow series), The Mastery of Submission: Inventions of Masochism (Cornell Studies in the History of Psychiatry), The Bonds of Love : Psychoanalysis, Feminism, & the Problem of Domination, Erotic Power: An Exploration of Dominance & Submission, Partners in Power: Living in Kinky Relationships, The Compleat Slave: Creating and Living an Erotic Dominant/Submissive Lifestyle, Different Loving : A Complete Exploration of the World of Sexual Dominance and Submission, The Ethical Slut: A Guide to Infinite Sexual Possibilities, Bitch Goddess: The Spiritual Path of the Dominant Woman, The Compleat Slave: Creating and Living an Erotic Dominant/Submissive Lifestyle, A Hand in the Bush: The Fine Art of Vaginal Fisting, The Art of Seduction and Jay Wiseman's Erotic Bondage Handbook. (Did I mention I'm a compulsive reader? LoL)
