No, but I heard today that the average worker spends on average 18 weeks a year wasting time at work..

Number one time waster - surfing the net
Number two time waster - flirting

Before I found my dom I literally had thousands I was speaking with. Narrowing them down for this or that. Yes, all were a waste of my time.

People who lie to you are the biggest waste of your time. If they lie, you must waste the time to catch them. If not...you could end up being killed. They could tell you one thing...then just "choose" to change what they are doing. End up dead.

yep-r
just like i had a shitload of teachers in school wasting my time...talking about shit they don't know anything about...
the world is full of time wasters...full of lame brained idiots that like to run their mouth and say nothing of substance.

i have met several self proclaimed dommes...that others i know of had nothing but disdain for them...and considered them an insult to womanhood let alone to the lifestyle.

take care

yeah, like teaching history in school...a major waste of time. that's why i purposely skipped that class. nothing they teach there has ever popped up in any job i have aver had, so i didn't need to know.

What exactly are you classifying as "wasting time?"

I see some time spent on "trying" to get to know one another, and things not working out much of the time, whether that be due to the fact that the two people just aren't a match, don't get along, or really just don't care for one another. I wouldn't classify that as a "waste a time," as much as a learning experience. I tend to enjoy the online dialogue that I've had with most, even when the conversation isn't the best. If not personally satisfying, it's more than likely...at least, entertaining.

I guess it might be a case of glass half empty, for you, most of the time. A more positive attitude might help you see things differently, and also come across a bit better. (Basing that comment on many of the posts I've read from you, Michael. You have to find your own happiness, before you can share that with someone. Just my opinion. Life really IS good! )

What I like (not!) is when you spend time talking to someone and they suddenly disappear. I realize that often you may be one of many they are chatting with. But when they ask probing questions then disappear, it's sort of weird. I'm left thinking....um, is my dark fantasy a bit too dark for them? Or with some, one wrong word (or action - your failure to cyber submit to them in some way) gets them to disappear (which in that case is definitely a favor and good you learned something important about them)

i classify "wasting time" as someone sending a chat request and, when it doesn't work, and i try to find out what they were wanting to talk about, they block me. what's that all about? for those who see this as whinning i would like to point out that i tried to keep it generalized but was asked to clarify, which i feel i did. The question was asked and answered.

Well, at least on CM.com workers are combining their efforts and flirting online. That has to save the employer money somewhere.

I consider a waste of time being when doms or other people read your profile and then contact you knowing what you want and hoping they can break you an your bf up an be your main squeeze, or think you're really not that serious that you're not looking for sex, and contact you anyway and you invest the effort and energy into trying to start something only for them to reveal they had less than honest intentions all along

Some people are always going to try to break up your relationship. I think it's just some sort of competitive weirdness that goes on, or jealousy, or just the chase.

I am convinced there is a "TAKEN BEACON" that lights up as soon as a person enters a relationship and makes him or her about ten times more attractive to the opposite persuasion. Ive seen it in action. It draws people like insects, from miles away.

Oh yeah. Big time. I've had male submissives tell me flat out that their 'curb appeal' goes way up when they're involved. I've seen it too. Sometimes more than I wanted to.

If someone wastes your time in a long term online situation its probably because you refused to see the signs. Most liars and fakes trip themselves up within the first 2 or 3 contacts. I have a specific set of questions that I ask and I ask them in a specific way. I them repeat some of them but ask in a different way and guage the responses. That filters out about 90% of the losers. There will always be those who get some sort of thrill out of leading people on as long as possible then disappearing (and probably reappearing under another name). I have no idea what the attraction to that game is but wish I had the power to make all their little heads explode.
