The Big Three flew to DC in private jets, $20,000.00 for each verses a first class seat on Delta for $800.00.  These private jets are worth millions!  Is it possible selling the jets could help keep Ford, Chrysler & GM from drowning in debt?  what do you think?

I have every bit as low an opinion of their failure to fly commercial or jet-pool as I do of Nancy Pelosi - and any other Congress Critter the shoe happens to fit - doing the same, back and forth between DC and their home state.

I wonder if Obama will be as effective as Polosi?

I think we should keep the machinists working, but the management apparently failed.   I dont think it would be terrible to be managed by Japan.  I mean like who can tell a traitor of all these so called Americans that DEMAND your tax money.  In true globalization the folks that can best manage auto production will excel.   Those who are dead weight will get thrown off the ship.

First Class for $800 bucks!  Dam, I sat my ass in coach next to a crying baby.  Ok sure the baby was mine, but Dam that crying is loud in a plane.  I could have flown first class and had the wife stay in coach with the baby.

As for the private jets, I thought they would have driven one of their luxury auto's and car pooled.  Then they would have broken down on the side of the road and understood why they are losing money

LMAO!

yeah= they might have car pooled in the latest coolest car that was built in detroit by Americans,  they could have streamed it live over the net.  from detroit to DC is what, 7 hours?  they could have had a nascar celeb with them- the fans would have lined the streets and cheered.   they could have demonstrated the new toll - congestion charge in action, and how easy it is.

this cool car could be say they EV1.   then they could honestly say improvement was made since the model T, which got 25 MPG.

whats more- they could have set up ride share so they drove in commuters on the park and ride into every metro between detroit and dc.
