Yeah, you heard me.

Mistress and I rented the new Pixar movie today, expecting a sweet and fun family story, as per their excellent track record. We got that, no doubt, but I was surprised at the subtle (and I'm sure unintentional) D/s undertones to the movie.

It's the story of a scruffy little dude, kind of goofy and a little (read: lot) neurotic after being on his lonesome after a few hundred years. One day he meets a beautiful woman (robot...lady...look, it's decidedly female-gendered) who's strong, intelligent, dedicated and could kill him with one shot from her mighty laser beam. He tries his best in a goofy awkward way to impress her, wins her over with his quirky charm, and follows her across the damn universe to prove his undying loyalty and affection to her.

I won't spoil for people who haven't seen it yet, but pay attention the reversal of traditional male/female roles in the action climax.

So far all those looking for a good interpretation of Femdom D/s in media, look no further! It's in an adorable Disney movie about space robots. ^__^

I very much enjoyed that film in the theaters.  I even nick named my long time favorite sub from CM "Wall-e".  He got it.  We like it.

I agree!!  However, as a lesbian, I liked the idea that since there is no or assumed no genitaila that wall-e could be a boi!!

Two of My slaves and I saw it last week and thought the same things you did.  W/ also thought it was a well written,  great Movie.

However, definte Ds tones. W/we actually find that in a lot of disney movies.  It was refreshing to hear someone else thought the same was W/we did. After all sometimes W/we start to think that W/we just interpret everything in a Ds context!  LOL  When I quickly see a poster with Sale on it, My brain sees Slave and I have to do a double take!  LOL

I have to agree. I thought the same thing as I watched certain scenes. Our little hero was enthralled with EVE the moment he saw her. While WALL-E's Lady lay in a dormant state, he stayed by her side for those endless days, even standing out in the rain holding an umbrella over her as he got drenched.

There were some Ds aspects, but I mainly thought it was about love.  Then again, I could easily identify with wall-e's infatuation with a strong and powerful woman....

I mainly think the movie was about cuteness though.  That movie was cute overload for my gf and I.  Possibly on par with kittens even.

Like any good D/s relationship, in my humble opinion. :-)

My Owner and I saw it back when it was in theatres.  We absolutely loved it.  Easily the best animated movie ever, traditionally or otherwise.

I loved that movie. I saw it with my good friend, and she practically laughed at me as I was in tears during some of the scenes towards the end.

I got a little misty too.  It was very poignant in parts.

The DVD they've just released has some nice short films as extras, as well.  I think I'll be giving at least one copy for Christmas this year--it'll make a nice gift.  [:)]

Well, we all know Disney liked cadavers, beloved necropheliac that Walt was.

A little BDSM isn't very surprising.

That was a great movie and Walle was great little sub. All those years with no supervision and no play and he still busted his butt to get his job done. And when she did show up, he didn't whine, he just adored her. There is a small clip on the dvd of Burn-ee...he's adorable as well. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out.

I certainly agree with you on that, aidan.  Mistress and I saw it in a theater and we both loved it.  Poor Wall-E went through a lot of crap for his robotic domme[;)]  Mistress and I both agree that Eva kicks ass!!!
