I wonder how many watts this makes.   I heard that as water supplies are privatised, one country the persons house can be taken for missing a $15 water bill.   hmm.   also Detroit and Houston having weird house seizure laws as well.

This old house -I live in- is along the river- so maybe that water is drinkable...if things get bad.  This house has seen WW1, WW2,  it likely was a larger lot during the French Indian war as I am near Fort Augusta.   I was able to go back to 1932 on the title- the houses darkest hour was 1938, where the title says the place was in disrepair.  There had been a flood in 2936, before we build an ugly cement wall.

I wish I could dig further back. Maybe once we open the librabry archives with civil war documents I could learn more....

Three light bulbs so I suppose 300 watts, not the best way to save the planet. Also the moisture has to be in the air in the first place and with everyone converting atmospheric moisture to water we will just end up fucking up the water cycle by drying the air and leading to zero precipitation. Another typical case of 'I'm alright Jack.'

so it is a glorified air conditioner condenser.    ??

300 watts is not 3 of my light bulbs.   i use the efficient ones.   last light bill was up- from $18 to $20, but it is dark longer now.  (that doesnt include hot water - which is gas)

I assume energy efficient ones would be no good at giving off the required heat since they save energy by not giving off heat.

Sure you could if you strained it through as many bio filters and UV light, this is nothing new.

Furthermore in some parts of Africa the water they drink is murky and contains all kinds of nasties. If we tried to drink it we'd become seriously ill because we've had no chance to build up immunities to these things. All these bio filters are a luxury for us in the west but to a certain extent not the bare minimum to survive drinking water, we forget this sometimes in our pursuit of clinical hygiene. On the other hand thousands die each year from contaminated drinking water in Africa, the balance is somewhere in between I suppose.
