How often do you use Google (or other search system)?

Hey, R, glad to see you back in P&ORS!  I don't tend to search much, so I'd say that I only use it a few times per week.  When I was at my daughter's, we were having such fun discussions that I used it several times a day.  So it just depends on what's going on in my brain.

I still stick my head in, L.  Good luck with the new hours.

I don't run Google as my home page, but it generally gets it's own tab pretty quick.  It is my yellow pages, my dictionary, multi-volume encyclopedia, and personal fact-checker.  Even when I know what site I want an answer from, Snopes or Wikipedia, for instance, I still find it faster to plug that into my search terms, and let Google pull the particular article.

Google has been my home page for about a year now. Prior to that I was a die hard MetaCrawler fan and was finding that I was starting to use google to search when my original search engine wasn't quite up to snuff. Ended up setting it as my ho,me page and been using it ever since! Another newer search engine I use sometimes is Cuil.

Love google. It can take a while to narrow down the right keywords to search under, but eventually you do find what you're looking for.

I love google. It's not my homepage (MSN is) but I do have the google toolbar always visible so it makes it even easier and I love the spell check feature that comes with the google toolbar . It can be used on collarme message board postings and emails sent. A few days ago though me and a friend were looking up the same thing at the same time on google, as we were on the phone..we typed in the exact same words (a restaurant) and we both received the same items to search but they were in a different order..i thought everyone received the same items back in the same order but i guess not.

I forgot to mention...The google toolbar has a great "Autofill" feature  to fill out information like your address and credit card # etc when ordering online and it also has a feature when you get a UPS or Fedex number for an order you have order to make it easier to track it.

I rarely use google, I use goodsearch.com instead.  It donates money to a charity of your choosing with each search, and I search a LOT.  I donate to CARE USA, the one based in Merrifield.

How often i use a search engine?  Oh, i'd say a few times a week.

Which search engine?  i've been using Yahoo, and i've used Google a few times as well.  Though, bear, i'll definitely have to look at Cuil, too.

Such an odd question.
