ORIGINAL: TallDarkAndWitty I think what Elle and I do could be described as "training", and we as "training dominants." We have a very specific set of positions, rituals, and protocols, and we train those who serve us to do them exactly how we like. Elle and I are each others primary (and only) romantic relationship, so there is never any "romantic love" involved in our training. We really have trained 4 or 5 slaves together. Some short term, some longer. I think learning a protocol, any protocol, is a valuable and worthwhile experience... Taggard Training "4 or 5 slaves" to suit your needs (including as a couple) is pretty much what any Dom/me does. I've certainly taught or "trained" my girls in how I want specific things done but that's not the same thing as presenting yourself as a "training dominant" per se'. And it's the latter which is often abused by those who predominantly seek out newbie subs eager to taste the lifestyle, especially young subs who aren't worldly wise in general. While I agree that learning virtually any protocol is a worthwhile experience within a healthy D/s environment, that isn't what "training doms" usually have in mind. Forget the ones who only operate online, there are those who use the training guise r/l just to get assorted sexual favours from naive newbies under the pretext of "normal" BDSM experience. To prepare them for service etc.... It's easy to muddy the waters and there's too many who strive to thrive in the grey areas on "training". But there is still a distinct line of difference between the slaves you trained while in your service and your presenting yourselves as "training dominants" to the world at large. I don't mean to imply you're not sincere in what you mean by "training", merely saying its got a bad rep because of abuse and is reasonably regarded as a red flag when a "dom" assumes such a title. Even without the rep, it sounds pretentious and arrogant in it's own right, anyway. ALL Dom/mes train *their* sub/s! To look at it another way, everybody tells lies but wouldn't you be wary of any self-professed liar? Focus.
