Status: offline 		I was reading through past threads on collarme last night. Went back like 13 pages looking for insite on this topic. I am curious. (Showing my still learning side here.. LOL) Though I post an earlier thread on loving pain. I didn't cover this topic in it. I fond it to be different than just loving pain.

I was recently given a flogger as a gift from a local Dom. I have never seen one before. Only heard about them. I even got to feel a little taste of what it would feel like as it came down on my bare ass. It wasn't hard, didn't leave marks or anything. Though I was told it could. And was shocked as hell. I couldn't really decide if I liked it or not. I don't have a hard limit on this. I have more of a curiousity of it. I want it... but I fear it. And I don't know what exactly it is I fear about it. Which made me want to try more.. LOL. I know as a child, i hated get my ass whipped by my parents. So how did we learn to grow up and love to get spanked or whipped?

Wait, correction on the spanking. I've been spanked before and I love it. When allowed to build up to the harder smacks. Though I understand getting spanked hurts the spankers hand after a few smacks on the ass. LOL So I can see finding the use of something else for spankings.

I don't know who invented these toys. I'm still researching this. What I want to understand and learn about is our love for them. What joys they actually bring to one. From both aspects. How it makes one feel when receiving or giving.

And clamps. OMG I love these. But at the same time, I love the feel of Master's actual touch. No matter if spanking, popping, biting, pinching, pulling. It seems that actual touching one is being replaced by gadgets.

So I was wondering how others feel about these things. Likes, dislikes about them. I'm not looking for someone to tell me if I like something or not. I just wondered what others thought of this. And if possible... why we do.

Status: offline 		well in response to this going by what other Lords/Masters and slave/subs have told me for some there is an emotional high involved in flogging or being flogged same with spanking and other things. For me when i use a flogger or whatever toy i use i reach a level that i feel can not be reached in other ways and that feeling is heightened by the fact that total control is mine i can determine how hard and how long it will last. if you are a sub/slave you can get enjoyment not only from the pain but from knowing you are being truley dominanated by your lord/master and this will help you reach that emotional high that most seek. and although yes i do enjoy using my toys nothing compares to using my hand to spank with. floggers and other toys while yes they do bring pain they can if used correctly bring great pleasure.

Oh my... so many variables to this. Let me just start out by reminding all that to each one of us we take and see and experience things differently. We all take our own needs and wants out of different acts and precieve them differently. That being said however I know that for myself, it's a mental thing walking hand in hand with the physical pain.

As we grow up we are taught or we making the assumption that at a certain point we become "to old" to be spanked. Those of us that are parents may even cross over to being the spanker. But when in that situation, all those grown up inhibitions dissolve. All of a sudden we have the freedom of a child again (among other things like punishment). So it's actually taking our minds and doing a 180 degree turn. To be able to even get to the point of trying out a spanking of any sort requires a complete new mental state. Now whether you like it or not is another thing. But putting yourself into the position of getting spanked is mind challanging.

Now thats just one tiny aspect... my own personal thoughts... of course there are a hoarde of others... The one I hear a lot of is.... that it shows how much a dominant or master cares if they take the time to do such things... They also have to be in the right mental frame to do such. And yes as mentioned before the absolute of submission or dominance. One standing over and feeling either the sting in His/Her hand or holding a flogger or whip.... seeing the one before them as they await whats comming. The endorphins of the brain in a rush. And of course a zillion other reasons.

Honestly I think it's a combination of many things both between the mental and physical. You can't just have one or the other. But... thats just me.

Status: offline 		i've always been one to say i'm NOT into pain, and for the most part i'm a wimp... just the sight of a clamp will put me in trembles and yet, a flogger, or even a cane, sends me in another direction altogether...

is there a *high* feeling? yes... very much so...and during those high floaty moments is when i'm begging for more and more and can't seem to get quite enough... has a flogger managed to leave its mark on me? lets just say they were treasured for weeks to come...

the key for me is always a slow build up...and very sensual if not extremely erotic play between the Master and myself ...IE...switch between the smacking course of a flogger and lightly tease the senses with a whispering touch of his fingers...

Some of them are enthusiasticly adopted from bad people who like to hurt folks. That's where the floggers, the branding irons, the humbler, cuffs, chains, clamps and such appeared. Some of them can from things that weren't really supposed to hurt but did (medicine is rich with those), Wurtenburg wheels, sounds, speculi, needles, squeezing bands, Riker frames, TENS units and things like that. Others were specifically designed by the evil minds of the scene.

Just be happy there will be more toys around than you can ever sample.

I have loved/liked/enjoyed every toy/implement used on me
and there has been a lot! Honestly it is hard to pick a favorite.

Status: offline 		The sensations that floggers have can vary greatly depending on what type of flogger and/ or how it was used. Suede varies greatly from latigo, the width of the falls changes the feel of the flogger. If only the tips of the falls are used it can be a really sharp sensation compared to the heavy thud of the same flogger hitting with the full length.

With a warm up I find that I can take a harder hit or more hits from a flogger that I have a very hard time dealing with cold. Some toys are harder for me to deal with unless I have been played for a little bit before hand. It is easier for me to take a heavy intense flogging if I have been warmed up with canes then to just go into flogging.

I love canes, being kicked, the burning sensation that I feel after my skin has been cut… I dislike clamps, clothes pins, and the feel of a knife being pulling along my skin. *giggles* and now people will think I am really weird and confused *lol*

And as to why I do it, I find it pleasing to my Lord and that it is me being true to what pleases me most. Submitting to my Lord’s will.

*g* Love kicking play, knife play and clothes pins are my absolute favorite... most especially zippers.

I love a good flogging as well... preferably on my back and with a real thuddy flogger. But I love the contrasts of a nice thuddy hit and then just the tips of the flogger.. like knives along the back. My favorite flogger is my Lord's horse hair one.... it is a take your breath away sensation for me.

For me, so much of play is in the contrasts of sensations and the challenge of processing them.
